One game that is not finished is now going to be split off into three games? This has turned into a trainwreck. If they can't finish one game how the heck are they going to finish three games? It's not worth the trouble.
Main developer finally paid for some help and now this game has been put on the sidelines while they develop a new one that we can also play for now. I see it as abandoned but they're trying to use interest in this game to eventually make a clean break for whatever they build next.
Recently came back to try out the newest update. Was unable to play multi-player. Skills stopped working by the time I was level 2. Constant "Warning: Exception has occurred message". Also, not really a fan of the user interface at all. Before I played for a good 50 hours, there was a lot of bugs, but at least multi-player worked. Last 4 years doesn't look like much has changed or improved.
First thing I’m gonna say is the discussion thread for this game is effectively border-lining dead. The game could be a little better planned out. If you build a huge base for example, disassembling the whole thing to relocate it to a nearby resource is just ridiculous.. So far I haven’t found any unique resources within range of each other so every single one of those types of resources won’t be in a single town limit. Would’ve been good if there was some sort of exception rule where it would go to a closer town storage. You’ve got mainly just the basic classes maybe 1/5 of what they should be available and doesn’t seem like there’s any new ones coming soon. In short, the game is a time killer but there really isn’t any long-term playability with this
BLATANTLY rushed out of early access and abandoned, which is especially tragic because the game was an unpolished trash heap several years ago back when it still had some degree of promise due to it still being actively developed. The dev is now working on several other games that are intended to meld with this one in some bizarre and nonsensical way, one of which he has openly admitted to creating just for the sake of generating income.
If you're a fan of Wurm or Wurm Unlimited - this is the game for you, If you aren't aware of those titles - it's a sandbox with light survival elements and a heavy focus on crafting, with a small but passionate community. Difficulty, items, enemies, materials, everything increases in level as the you expand outwards from the spawn point - the game is more or less infinitely scaling, depending on how far you travel outward from spawn. The general vibe of the game can be fairly esoteric initially but stick to it, it has more or less endless potential and possibility.
Do not buy. Another EA failure with dev not finishing the game and instead add another dev that totally broke the game and started a new game called "Solace Keeper" and at the same time a "Solace Builder" tool. Both version are broken and unplayable.
I really like this game but it is extreme buggy with placed objects disappear. I deleted worlds and started over and every time start to do well crafting stations and storage chests just disappear. Not worth the effort.
Fun game, with new features being added soon. They have already released a builder where you can create your own structures, etc. Eventually you will be able to import them into the game. Looking forward to future updates!
A cool concept. but it is still very early in development. Solo dev so we will see if this game ever goes anywhere. as of right now it plays like a alpha demo.
