i have never reviewed a game in my life but this game is awesome i get to manage a software company in whatever time i want commit tax fraud, etc this game is for people who like tycoons simulations (good ones) with economics and a bunch of other stuff and who wanna become evil corporate overlord to the dev, plz keep updating the game, its my favorite and you gon hit the big leagues issues is cluterred ahh UI, employees sometime cant get to desks just cause its on a high floor, and the fact HR managers cant cooperate or relay to each other, employees should be communicating even if in diff teams cant do diplomacy with other companies conclusion Has fair share of flaws, but is really good idea. It has amazing gameplay and etc as of now, and just needs more interesting features amazing game 8.67/10
I like this game. It's the only one where I can fulfill my penultimate fantasy of petting a cat whilst evading my taxes to the tune of my employees screaming because they're on fire. Also creating software is okay I guess.
As a software engineer I really, really love this game. The detail is fantastic! You can make all kinds of games and software, own servers, manufacture floppy disks and consoles, develop a digital distribution platform... etc. That's really not a tenth of it. 10/10.
The level of detail on display here is stunning. There are so many things you can do and manage that its an overwhelming experience to say the least. Perhaps so much so that it stops being a fun business tycoon simulator and becomes a ruthless true to life depiction of capitalism in the tech sector. That experience isn't for me, but the game's quality is unmistakable.
Genuinely feel like I waste my time, theres so much to do and this game should be up my alley. It wasn't worth the money ortime spent trying to learn. Terrible tutorials that ended up making learning worse as using them caused me to over extend and bankrupt. Bankrupt, bankrupt, bankrupt, bankrupt, bankrupt. You will dumpster a company with out trying. The game at the core seems to punish anything but walking a tight rope at times, early game software development is a joke frankly and you just farm contracts and deals with others till you save up enough to try. The issue is contracts and deals don't really build up what you need to successfully develop and release, you can be the most credible business but no one knows who your are. Marketing is confusing, is poorly explained, and way too much is just going by feel than anything else. I really want to like this game but its so bogged down with itself its awful to play and feels bad. Nothing explains why you should do something, deals are too randomized if you specialize, good luck banking on printing or manufacturing because once again deals are random. You are almost entirely reactionary unless you dump money down the drain with software development. Also a lot of info about the game not in hours long videos are years out of date.
If you are the type of person who likes tycoon games, this is the game for you. Even though its in early access now, it is worth the asking price, and could be even better with a few more improvements. My first impression of the game was "feature creep" after playing the game for a while you will realize this is not the case, and all the features are decently desined, but not always super apperent why you need them. For example: Fire codes. Every once in a while a fire inspector will come and fine you if your building isnt to code. at first I wasnt even sure a fire could happen, then my entire production line burnt down wich happened to be on the same building as my servers, and because my servers burnt down my hosting deals stop being fulfilled meaning my company rating when from 6 to 2, and my online subscription game (at the time making nearly $50 MILLION a month) no longer generated revenue, and my digital distribution platform halted destroying its reputation rating and cause a bunch of companys to stop signing it. Despite this being a huge setback, I actually found it really boosted my playtime. The game can get a little repetetative, but this setback had thrown a wrench I wasnt expecting and it was a realistic punishment for not having better This is where a suggestion comes in, have more "drama" in real life, game companys go through tons of drama, have other companys investing into yours be a bigger deal than it is, have popups of employees going through issues the player has to solve. Some suggestions: -My company should be allowed to make deals to outsource development and stuff to other companys like they can outsource to me. -Subsidiarys seem undercooked, the game tells me they dont have the capacity for more projects but doesnt give a way to increase it? And I cant meaningfully manage the products they take? otherwise I like concept alot. -Some optimisaiton would be nice, I feel like for the graphics level of this game it should not be as energy intensive to run at higher levels, on both my macbook and pc.
