About

Construct and design buildings for optimal working conditions. Hire people to design and release software and hardware, so you can defeat the simulated competition and take over their businesses. Manage and educate your employees to make sure they are skilled and satisfied with their job.

Buy plots in a huge map to create and customize your own building. No grid necessary, just make sure there's coffee.

Craft and manufacture software and hardware products, corner your market, defeat the competition, and make them work for you.

Create and optimize teams of employees with different skills and demands to release products in a timely fashion. Why not poach a big shot lead designer from a competitor to give you the edge?

im learning how to run my own software company
This is my all time favourite management game. A game which I come back to every now and then to replay. It's a fun game with tons of features from building to product management and server infrastructure. When you hire more managers you can focus on more expansion and less employee management which makes the endgame feel like you've accomplished something big. The updates can be small or do something big and that makes it really enjoyable to revisit whenever there's something new to do. I highly recommend Software Inc. and will continue playing it a ton!

This is seriously such a good game. It goes deeper than what the pictures and trailers show on Steam. 1000% worth the buy
Fun game! Steep learning curve but it plays like the sims ft. corporate greed
10/10 game.

Very CLICKY... you have to do very annoying interface tasks. Several things can be pre-created or adjusted. Annoying to have small progress.
I've owned this game for 10 years and it has changed a lot since first release. If I remember correctly the game is made by like 1 guy or a small team but don't let that fool you, it is frequently updated and not one of those abandoned early access games. This is exactly what I feel a video game company tycoon game should be. It's pretty in depth and yo don't even have to make video games. You can focus on running a server farm, an online store similar to steam, developing hardware, or just make software such as audio engines and stuff. This a hidden gem in the steam store.
Software Inc is a very charming simulator game. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the different features it had to offer, and while it is only being developed by one guy, it still gets content every few months, like multiplayer! I don't like how RNG some aspects are, but then again; that is realistic with actual development studios irl. Overall, enjoyable I purchased this game when it was 13 dollars and it was a bargain then, now it is 23 and I feel like that is a more accurate price point for the amount of fun that you could get out of this game. 8.2/10
