About

Construct and design buildings for optimal working conditions. Hire people to design and release software and hardware, so you can defeat the simulated competition and take over their businesses. Manage and educate your employees to make sure they are skilled and satisfied with their job.

Buy plots in a huge map to create and customize your own building. No grid necessary, just make sure there's coffee.

Craft and manufacture software and hardware products, corner your market, defeat the competition, and make them work for you.

Create and optimize teams of employees with different skills and demands to release products in a timely fashion. Why not poach a big shot lead designer from a competitor to give you the edge?

Every playthrough of Software Inc. is different, as the market is simulated and randomized. Each action you take affects how history plays out.

Um dos melhores jogos de Gerenciamento/Tycoon. A evolução do início (comprei lá por 2015/16) até agora é enorme, e os desenvolvedores demonstram muita dedicação ao jogo.

Redo all the UI bro its so bad everything is a white menu with too many options and things showing and it looks like a demo UI that you just kept on adding to instead of replacing iHate
11/10 - developer continues to update the game and add continuous content.
This is a game that was made complicated for the sake of being complicated. You learn to wipe your ass when you're 3 but this game makes wiping your ass something you can't pull off unless you've got 3 PhDs and 6 master degrees and 45 years of experience. Oh and don't accept a job at the end of the day at 17:00 because your guys will clock out 5 minutes later and you'll lose an entire day because apparently, 5 minutes before the end of the day counts as an entire day. Then, you'll figure out how to trick the game into letting you make money with small contracts and you'll decide to make a software and publish it. Hahahaha! Don't worry, writing a press release will take your entire team 6 months! I kid you not! I started working on my software in 1981 to be released in 1982 like 10 months later. I started writing the press release right after I started working on my software. 5 iterations later, an alpha then beta later, the press release wasn't even 10% done yet. This is ridiculous. This is basically what the dev did for this game. Dev : Alright, let's look at how I cook an egg in real life. Get the pan out, get some butter, buy some eggs, turn on the stove, put pan on, put butter in pan, crack egg, use spatula, get egg, eat egg. Dev : Alright, let's make this into a game. Turn on computer, hire 3 cooks, 1 saucier, they all hate each other but it's ok, as long as you have a ceiling fan that reculates the coffee machine. Oh yeah, you have to hire a team of engineers to write a report over the next 143 months on how we will need a coffee machine to help us... spend money we don't make anyway... Then, let's buy some eggs, so call NASA while doing a treatise on how atoms in a fusion reactor fuse together to create new heavier elements, then devise a way to solve the 3 body problem using only lego blocks and crayons, all this with the CERN team, blindfolded and gagged while wearing duck costumes on the Everest. For FOX sake man, chill. This is stupid. It's not fun. The micromanaging is such I think he'll even add buttons to tell your employees to go take a dumb and wipe to avoid dragging poop back into the office and then having to click on a button to tell your other employees to hold their breath. F this S. I'll go shove hot sharp stuff into my pee hole instead, I'll have more fun.
Recent updates to this game have absolutely cooked it, genuinely not worth installing anymore

After playing this one non-stop for 30+ hours I can assure you: this game is not about software, but business management sprinkled with software/hardware aspects. It's not a bad thing, it's a great thing! There are not many "from garage to corporate empire" type games that encapsulate the most important aspects of business management, growth and practices. Like: - from manual HR managment to automated per team managment. - from one to many shifts. - from finding a good publisher to having your own marketing team(s). - from paying royalties for frameworks to R&D and patenting (maybe still paying royalties). - from manual development to automated project managment. - ...there is a lot of stuff. It is a rare sight to see both micro and macro being executed that well. Taking into account, this game is still developed by one person.
crack cocaine
The game says it supports online co-op, but it's not really co-op. Each player has their own company they run independently in the same game world. There are a few limited mechanics that allow players to interact with each other, but calling it co-op is a big stretch. I expected us all to be working at the same company, potentially handling different tasks and working together to grow the company, similar to a group of friends actually starting a company together. To the developer's credit, the game looks really cool and has a ton of features and complexity. For a single developer, what little of the game I saw was really impressive. Even how the they implemented the performance benchmark is really well done. I might return at some point and try the single player, because it looks cool. Unfortunately we were looking for a true co-op game for a small group of friends.
