Another Good one for an evening of light gaming!
Un jeu vraiment très sympa, même si il est assez basique, le jeu se Speedrun assez facilement donc si vous êtes intéressé allez y !!!
Very short mini-Metroidvania. Artwork's really cute, the monsters and the slime are adorable, the terrain is varied, and the cosmetic options are pretty great. Metroidvania progression is pretty standard too, various shot upgrades, and your typical jump and swim enhancements. There aren't many, but the entire games takes under 2 hours to 102% so it doesn't need a lot. I like that you have lots of customization options, different accessories you can wear and 3 different color choices at the start. Techwise it ran perfectly on a Linux desktop, and it's light weight enough to run super well on a single battery charge on the SteamDeck (my Deck's off for RMA so I couldn't run it there). The only issue is that the Steam F12 screenshots don't work, which usually is a game engine thing. It's short, cute, and inexpensive, but it is short enough that some might abuse the refund system after playing it.
A little microvania. The whole game is about one and half an hour. NO stress here, even boss fights are going down with 4-5 bombs (10 seconds at max on normal). So, basically it is a metroidvania for kids. Even little kids, but for the fans of the genre it can be a little bit relaxing experience. Definitely a one euro experience on sale. I encountered no bugs, the controls are good, the bombs are hitting hard.
Simplemente hermoso, es increíble como con una premisa tan sencilla que recuerda a los antiguos juegos arcade, se pueda conseguir un resultado tan maravilloso y enganchante, lo recomiendo totalmente para aquellos amantes de los Speedruns
Slime's Journey is not an easy game to just simply recommend or not recommend. Its cute.....really cute....so if that is what you are looking for most of all, then this is the game for you. Obviously, if you are a "games must look like Metal Gar Solid and Mortal Kombat always" type gamer...you won't like the look. So you migght want to stop reading now and move to another page in the store. But that isn't what makes it difficult to recommend or not. The problem here is that it is a "Metroidvania" style game (feeling like it leans more to the Metriod side), but if you are looking for deep exploration and game longevity, then you are definitely in the wrong place. I tend to enjoy my games slow; usually playing for double the time of the average player to beat them. Within 38 minutes I had all but 4 of the achievements. By 1 hour and 53 mins, I had finished the game. Its short...really short. Now you can argue that a game like Super Metroid can be just as short as this...but not on a first play. However it is really fun, and I can see multiple plays for this one from most people. So that would definitely make it worth the price if you can squeeze 3 or 4 victories out of it. If not...proceed with caution. Also the attack takes a little getting used to. It isn't a standard beam attack...but more like bomb lobbing. Its a nice little change, but may frustrate some gamers until they get used to the arc and distance of the attacks. But here comes the biggest problem with the game: we mentioned it is cute. This includes the enemies...they are cute. In fact they can be so cute that they can blend into the background easily....especially in the 2nd boss's area. I ran into plenty of enemies and spikes not being able to see them clear enough. Also some enemies tend to run after you and stay on your space hitting you. It is more than annoying. But here is the real verdict for me as to why it gets a thumbs up: if you can get it on sale for a couple bucks..it is definitely worth it. It is fun...in a very retro early Metroid but cutesy way. Its not going to dethrone your top game of all time, but it isn't going to disappoint. So give it a chance if you have a couple bucks laying around. And for the record: #$%@ the snakes, dogs, and gremlins. But mostly #$%@ the dogs!
+0 points a run-of-the-mill general platformer that takes about an hour to beat, more if you are trying to 100% it. +1 points for not being buggy. +2 points for slimes in a positive role. If you've played a few Ratalaika games, then you sort of know what to expect. This gets a thumbs up, from a slime-enjoyer.
102% in 1:11:01 in game time, 4 deaths all for dumb reasons. Soft recommend, simple good fun. Easy game, nothing innovative but it moves well and is cute.
Jogo muito agradável para uma manhã de domingo com chuva.
