I tried SO hard to like this game because I've been wanting it for years. The gameplay is simple but fun, you explore, unlock a few areas, collect slimes, chickens, fruits and vegetables and put everything in your ranch. Now, where do I start with the bad stuff? The most annoying thing for me is that when you die (fall in water with NO way to save yourself even with the backpack) you LOSE EVERYTHING. That's particularly annoying when you've traveled a lot to get a specific thing and then you lose it in a second, doesn't really make you want to keep playing even tho there are a few one way teleporters (mostly useless). Speaking of stuff that doesn't make you want to keep playing: there is nothing that encourages exploration. You just unlock an area, pick up T W O new slimes, some food and that's it. The only thing you search for are notes from the previous guy who owned the ranch that are BORING and don't really tell you anything you could care about. Even the "ending" of the game is so underwhelming, "I love my gf but I'd rather do what I like" do you really love her then? Also the storytelling is ass, told through mails that arrive each day (and when you die for some reason you waste one day) so technically you could reach the end and not have unlocked A SINGLE AREA what's the purpose of the story??? Speaking of the game itself, slime science is USELESS except for a couple things, and I think instead of making decorative stuff I would have preferred to have more slime variants or trade exclusive stuff (like materials for slime science). The only thing going for this game is "omg cute!!!!" so if you wanna buy it I STRONGLY advise you to wait for a BIG discount. And don't expect too much from it.
