Slayblade is alright, but very barebones. Its a game that makes me wish steam had an in-between option for recommending it or not. UI needs a LOT of work, its not obvious at a glance what each part stat really does. The little overworld ui thing you stay in to choose what battle you want to go to next is cute at first but constantly rotating the camera to find floor money gets annoying quickly. Never really felt like I understood fully the stats and stuff. Ended up with a heavy blade that had an ability that basically just ended every match though by draining the opponents rpm which was kinda funny. The challenge modes you unlock are..ok I guess? I need to try them more but the first one you unlock kinda sucks and doesn't feel great. The main "story" is barebones as hell and has no time limit or anything to it. You can just enter the tournament basically whenever you feel like it and its just 3 individual battles. Parts kind of just feel like an illusion of choice at times, none of them feel like the gameplay or strategy changes in a meaningful enough way when equipped. Its a good skeleton of a game! Theres a lot of potential for updates and new content if the devs go that route, and I hope they do! Lean all the way into the nostalgic anime centric concept, make a rival character, get a little meta, have villian slaybladers, go nuts with it!

Only reason why I am not refunding is because I see the potential but in it's current version I can not recommend it. The camera control and UI is so garbage Idk what the dev was thinking but it's not intuitive, the hardest part about this game is actually navigating it please just switch to traditonal UI and change the camera to be button controlled. The battles are too unpredictable and criminal battles leave no room for play skill expression since most one shot you. The normal battles themselves are trivial since you can just equip spin decrease and one shot them. They game does have solid bones but some major issues need to be adressed before I would recommend this game.
El modo automático me da ganas de arrancarme los ojos.
It's been a really fun beyblade esque game. It makes me want to go get my old beyblades out and take them for a spin. I love the combat. The battle gameplay is fun and the mods keep it interesting. It's the perfect game to play when I don't really want to be too involved with anything and I just want to hop on and kill time. For $5 I definitely think you will get your moneys worth. I would love to see this combat get expanded into a larger game somehow.
TLDR: Fun but needs more content the core gameplay is a lot of fun, and the different parts you can buy and equip to your "slayblade" makes multiple playthru's fun. That being said, the game is remarkably short, being completed in less than an hour. There are run modifiers which can certainly extend out the playtime, but if anything it could do with maybe a proper endless mode or something similar also uhhhhhh flat earth tip breaks the game could do with a nerf
balanced 8/8
For what it is, It does a good job creating the atomosphere for a bayblade like experiance. sound track kickes but only one tournoment. I think when I p;ay again im going to try to take the criminals out. All and all I had fun, would love to see more done with the game. Also upgrades to the launchers for better rpm and PVP.
Fun game, scratches that early 2000’s nostalgia, looking forward to playing more!
There's barely any gameplay... and the customization is kind of limited since you can only swap 3 parts. But seriously, where's the gamplay?
