I wanted to like this game. But it's too bare bones. You can beat a run fairly easily and the challenges are the only progression. A roguelike should be difficult at first but gets easier with skill and luck to keep people invested. No depth, too easy, too short, doesnt have much of a compelling art style, feels like a free Itch project.
1. Needs a better tutorial (should I battle? should I gacha? should I go to the shop? when will my parts work?) 2. Needs an endless mode 3. My gameplan so far has been "wait for my opponent to do something stupid" and it has worked out so far 4. I hope this game goes far but for now, just play the demo.

honestly, just play the demo and you'll have experienced the full game for free
Its a $5 game but the demo was pretty much the entire game. Honestly refunded and felt scammed.
promising concept. cool gameplay. not enough gameplay. on a serious note, the games premise is interesting as is, however it fails to give you genuine obstacles to overcome, the combat is tipped way too heavily on the powercube mechanic (literally can beat the game first try). the tournament isnt even a tournament... you cant get knocked out, and you can attempt it at any time. i feel like im grinding for the elite four except i dont have to face all four in succession, and i dont even get to feel challenged. the story being a whole nothingburger is fine, but that only works if i have enough fun playing the game, which we established it really isnt. theres quite a few blade parts, but they only have differences in abilities and weight. i do believe this stems back to the overreliance/overtuning of the powercube system so i cant comment much besides maybe wishing they had at least gone for smth like the attack, stamina, defence and balance type builds or made have more rpg-ish stats. i love beyblade, i like the game. side note: i am aware that its more realistic to have such a short fight with blades, but i'd prefer them to be longer, like a battle of attrition but thats js me. i would not recommend this game as a product. i would still urge to support creators like this with their passions and projects
Im really surprised at the mixed reviews. The game is easy, yeah, you can beat it on the first try, but the game is about being an awesome beyblade master. Its about the cool music, the visuals, the vibes. for a game that is $5 base, this is great. Anyone who's tried to play an official beyblade videogame knows how awful the game play is (sorry dev staff for beyblade, i know youre trying but probably not given adequate budget). Before this it was From the Top which is solid, and has the game play front and probably a more satisfying campaign of a roguelike nature to do more challenging runs in. This game is instead about customization and being powerful. I think it handles a little better and more predictably. I personally enjoy both, but this one I do like a bit more. If this game isnt for you and you want the challenge, grab From The Top (i think theres even a bundle for it), but if you want just messing around and customizing things more, grab this one. Also, please note, you are supposed to crush it as far as I can tell. It has a level system outside of the one in each run to unlock new parts. Its a game about winning. Mess around. Nuke the enemy (literally). Get rich. Play every illegal challenge battle. I hope more people enjoy this casual and fun vibey beyblade game like i do. I do quite like it and hope others share my appreciation.
Eh. I enjoyed it and it does have potential. This game would be 100x better if it continued the theme or followed a story, but nope... I played for 20 minutes then was met with a random cutscene which makes it feel like a money grab...
slayblade is a simple, focused game, putting a creative "SPIN" on an old gen Y favourite. battle funny-named characters to rise up the ranks and ultimately discover the truth about your father, who mysteriously disappeared after solving the world's energy crisis via incredibly fast spinning tops (SLAYBLADES, if you will). there's so much packed into this if you are curious enough to explore. i love the look and feel of the town (the game's overworld) and it's fun to navigate to search for hidden goodies in the nooks between buildings, or to find a lawn to mow, or to stumble upon an illegal battle under the cover of darkness. the way you pull the blades around the stadium with the mouse feels really responsive and intuitive. you can really feel the metallic clashing of the blades. the modifiers are really fun and there are way more than i expected, with the 'episodes' being predetermined combinations of mods for hilarious results. my favourite so far is dogzilla mode; it's so funny watching your opponent struggle against you only to be completely annihilated by a giant crushing dog foot! keen to check out the rest of them. i spent a good hour on my first play. although it's a run-based format, i never felt 'addicted' even though i was always wanting to try again and again to see what else the game would throw at me. i can see myself coming back to this to play in bite-sized sessions as i unwind after work. also... 50 achievements?! it would be totally insane to complain about all this for just 5 bucks... right? as always with Henry's House games, the aesthetics and soundtrack combine to provide impeccable vibes. the game knows exactly what it is, and for the price of some floor funds, consider my blades SLAYED!!!!!
Cool concept, sad it turned out the way it did. Just not enough content as others have said. Getting spin reduction items is just an insta win, which is such a shame because the feel of the control of the beyblade is very well done, but just does not matter when you get a power up and insta win with the correct builds, ending the game in about 10 minutes
