About
The ultimate roguelike deckbuilder returns!
For 1,000 years, the Spire lay dormant, its secrets buried and its horrors forgotten. Now, it has reopened, hungrier and more dangerous than ever, devouring all who dare to ascend.
New perils demand sharper strategies, relentless cunning, and unwavering resolve. Outwit the Spire’s brutal trials and uncover the truths hidden at its peak.
Will you attempt the climb alone or enlist the aid of your fellow adventurers?
Step into the newly evolved Spire, a twisted labyrinth teeming with strange and deadly foes. Adapt to an arsenal of brand new cards, relics, and potions, each offering game-changing possibilities—or dangerous consequences.
Climb the Spire with a new and returning cast of characters, each with their own cards, motives, and secrets.
No two climbs are ever the same. Unpredictable challenges and evolving strategies await those brave—or foolish—enough to ascend.
Brave the ascent on your own, or play with up to 4 players and face the Spire together in the all new co-op mode. Discover multiplayer-specific cards, powerful team synergies, and carry your friends (or get carried) to victory!

Embark on your quest to Slay the Spire as one of five different characters, some of whom will be familiar to seasoned Slayers and two of whom who are brand new. Discover each character’s unique playstyle, full potential, and secret backstory as you conquer all who stand in their way.
The history of the Spire and its inhabitants, be they friend or foe, can now be discovered in entirely new ways. Unlock fragments of its mysterious timeline and encounter the most ancient of its residents through your myriad attempts.
The Spire truly is ever-changing… in more ways than one. More content—including cards, events, environments, enemies, and more—will be added and balanced throughout Early Access. Join the journey early to be a part of the Spire’s next evolution.
Why release in Early Access, you ask? Slay the Spire's success comes from our community! It sounds corny, but the extra mile many of you went to report issues, translate content/announcements, create long video essays, make excellent (lol) tier lists, and draw goofy or gorgeous fan art is the reason we're doing it all again. We love our job!

this game used to be so good before the rework. i would literally open the game and play for hours after work but now its just a frustration. i feel like i lose 3/4 runs for a variety of reasons like inconsistent card pulls, unfortunate deck shuffling, generally frustrating mechanics, and too intense scaling. everything is definitely much harder to fight and sometimes not even enjoyable without having the 'perfect' run. i find myself going to more ? rooms to avoid annoying battles. i was trying to look past all the negative reviews previously but i'm really starting to agree more often
I recommend the game, *but not in its current state for higher challenge players* I'll also preface this by saying I don't watch people play this game. That does nothing for me and I am comfortable speaking to my own experience compared to the first game (beat A20 on switch, all achievements) and that of my friends, rather than "what defines the meta" or however people talk about this. I know I could be way better. Just trying to speak to the experience of a casual player who maybe has 3 or 4 days a month to sit down and game for an evening. Generally love this game and I recognize we are still in early access, but I have to call it soon after the recent waves of changes. I don't have time to keep adapting to card changes, making a pick and then realizing it is a completely different card, and elite and boss changes that feel like spaghetti stuck on a wall, but gradually sliding down to make room for less sticky spaghetti. I'm glad I supported the project and had a ton of fun at the initial release. I regret nothing, but I honestly just want people to wait until its done so they don't leave with a sour taste in their throats. Generally I'm talking about A8-10 here, but it also extends to the game as a whole. Not a fan of aeonglass. Not a fan of the demon dorito. Generally, there seems to be a hyperfixation on enemies that swing every turn, punishing skill card based decks to balance silent and necrobinder, but those decks adapt better. The regent and the defect can't as well, especially the defect in multiplayer. Also not a fan of the curve in act 1. Still feels sad to see all the tools for an incredible build except 1, and then come across some of the higher difficulty fights in a chain, and watch a unique opportunity die. The filter could be shifted to act 3 floors, which is often a cakewalk by comparison until the boss. It just generally feels like the game introduced more mechanics, and then punishes you for trying to explore ways to use new cards and systems a bit too quickly. It felt like there was more room to find your stride and discover synergies you hadn't considered and leverage them in the first game. In this game, and I recognize I am not the best of players, I often find an incredible build in the desperate attempt to not die, and then never see the exact combination of cards again after not pulling it off or getting the card I hoped for in time. Obviously I can adapt and play the tried and true methods, but I liked finding crazy ways to win in the first game. Feels like straying off the beaten path at all just doesn't work nearly as often. It just occurred to me that you can check the win rates, so here are my takes on characters. Ironclad feels solid, but I don't love builds that are just "Block, Swing, Repeat." I know there is much more nuance than that (I reached Ascension 10 as IC first try 6 weeks ago) but it feels less engaging than other characters with really nitty gritty card interactions. Also absolutely dominates with 4 vulnerable builds in MP. Silent has always been the darling of the game. She has three archetypes with incredible synergy and great patch cards to solve problems in builds. If you commit to one and adopt aspects of another, you would almost always win (beat A10 here as well a month ago). That said, I think the devs got tired of hearing how easy she was by comparison (Same with Necrobinder) and overcorrected with silly bosses. Silent is currently lowest of all the win rates on A10. Not sure why they felt the need to giver her a dirt nap, but I'm sure she gets enough love that she will be exhumed shortly. Regent is my personal favorite in this game. Feels like an oddball amalgam of colorless card creation, stars, minions, or swords. Overlap between build types is harder to incorporate than the Silent, but he clicked in my head (I got A10 here too about a week ago, again on my first try.) the Necrobinder feels like it fully redefines the game. It is easy to build something that can cruise to the end of act 3 once you get the hang of souls (kinda RIP due to Aeonglass though), doom, ethereal, and Osty. Much like the Silent, the overlap between the archetypes feels very forgiving, and taking damage is often optional. I like having new players stick to Necro until they feel confident in enemy patterns. I don't think changing that would be good. I am fine accepting that the Necrobinder is just easiest for most. (Had a bad chain of luck, but still won after 3 attempts on A10 a few days ago) My big gripe is the Defect. Completing A10 with him for me just felt soo much more like random chance with him. There are just too many subtypes with limited payoffs and interactions. All the cool synergies seem locked behind rare cards that entirely disappear behind Ascension 9-10's rare card filtration. With Status cards, Lightning, Ice, Dark, 0 Cost, Glass, and Energy subsets, it just feels like there are too many subsets within the class that DON'T have near the amount of synergy as the other classes, and despite consistently ranking lowest in success for multiplayer and single player, the development team seems content leaving my little robot to his namesake. I love that guy, and he was my favorite in the first game. Devs, don't be afraid to make him more supportive in multiplayer. Wouldn't hurt to add ice functionality to zero cost, or a bit more interaction with glass (There are only 3 glass orb cards and their damage is lackluster compared to lightning), or a bit more staying power to the focus cards. I wouldn't even be opposed to removing glass orbs entirely to smoothen out the odds by a small margin of finding cards for the other builds. If you loved the first game, I'm confident the devs will eventually get this game to the same standard and beyond. It just doesn't feel that way now. I'm leaving this because it finally occurred to me that I wasn't having fun anymore. I don't particularly mind losing. I just felt like no matter what, I was chasing the same batches of cards every time.

Best game ever made
awesome game as usual
yknow id also probably leave a negative review if i was incapable of thinking while i played either. too bad i have a brain and can enjoy good video games
Game is awsm,
逆天安东尼,搞一堆bug,鸡煲不能打牌,该削弱的怪不削,无敌了
everything
Saw a friend playing it and thought it looked interesting, so I got it. Really fun, at first I thought it would get boring quick but it's just one of those games you can play over and over and over and never get bored. At least on my end haha. Would highly recommend if you like fantasy style games and enjoy good character design. I'm even gonna show it to my Dad who is not a gamer in any sense of the word ahahaha
