About

SLASHER U is a 90's inspired, 18+ reactive dating sim with (optionally toggleable) full-blown sex mechanics and minigames, an open-world explorable 2D map, a huge story-rich branching narrative based on dynamic Character Feelings systems, gothy y2k-inspired hand-drawn art, and TONS of balls-to-the-wall horror movie theming based on the vibrant history of horror from the 90's, 2000's, and beyond!
Everyone's* favorite indie horror movie dating sim that punches you in the face with dick jokes AND pathos is now on Steam! (Act 1 of a 3-part episodic series)
*punching mileage may vary
*****THIS GAME IS MEANT FOR ADULTS AGED 18 AND ABOVE*******
HEXECUTIONER JONES-MACDUFF
A legacy admit thrust into the life of a masked slasher by his overbearing dads, Hex is a frat boy himbo with a heart of gold who wants nothing more than to wear slides all day, smoke weed, make friends, and listen to ICP.
JUNO "JU-ON" PARK
Antagonistic, thrillseeking, and completely unable to connect with their emotions in a genuine way, Juno puts the FUCK in FUCK YOU. What, that doesn't count as a joke? You wanna fight about it? Or like, kiss about it? Or talk about my fucked-up family and how they impacted how I see myself and my place in the world about it?
LAILA VELASQUEZ
Putting the "Final Girl" in "Girlboss", Laila Velasquez is top at everything: Top of her class, top in the bedroom, and top at trying to get the rest of these assholes to appreciate just how much work she puts into being THIS perfect.
SAWYER FERGUSON
Undergrad masked murderer who's now in law school, Sawyer just can't shake the fact that he liked chasing co-eds down with a chainsaw a little TOO much. For a guy who's struggling to be the most consensual slasher in existence, can he have his cake (you) and stab it too (hopefully not you, unless you're into that)?
TATE MCGILLICUTTY
An A/V nerd with a big, dark, Eldritch secret, Tate's favorite things are video editing, substance abuse, losing his shit on set, and processing his trauma through the lens of B-movies. Not necessarily in that order.
15+ HOURS (3+ hours per romance arc!) of RPG style gameplay with items, unlocks, quest chains, story choices & story puzzles, etc, all revolving around the main romances
Full Character Customization including hair, makeup, body types, skin, & facial features - plus more to discover in-game!
Dynamic Feelings Systems for each character that keeps track of everyone's feelings for you, based on their memories, for a different playthrough every time!
Makeout minigames unique to each character!
Full blown sex minigames unique to each character!
Five dateable characters (so far), with more content as voted on by the community!
Full optional story-integrated polyamory (or, for maximum drama, uncommunicative cheating!)
Fully art’ed hand-drawn characters with a bevy of reacts!
Collectible cosmetics, including wearable outfits, phone skins, and more!
90’s inspired open-world adventure game map in All-American Murder College Theming!
Romances ranging from vanilla, to kinky, to chaste, to everything in between!
Toggle between R-Rated and Hard Explicit 18+ at any time for all my aces out there (and twitch streamers) with no gameplay or romance penalty; plenty of stage-based consent checks for The Weird Shit. Also, enjoy the Weird Shit!
Every relationship is written with a full spectrum of orientations in mind: each potential romance will dynamically react based on player gender, orientation, the character's personal experiences, and more!
Tons of fun gender stuff like character creation having separate gender and sex options!
Evolving relationships with plenty of models, systems, and interlocking storylines and quests, from pursuing your crush to relationship life (or undeath, your call)
Bonus Slasher U minigames that’re horror/slasher/college themed, like Hallway Sprinting 101, Bartending, and Student Hunting 101
An homage to scary movies and a serious attempt to make a well-balanced, reactive, romantic, emotionally pathos-laden, and contextually satisfying sexy dating sim (with tons of y2k style dick jokes)

This game is very cute and Hex is my new boyfriend <3
Oh boy, i ABSOLUTELY LOVE this game, the mini games are fantastic, the campus ultra pretty (love seeing the little crows around),the dateables are super awesome and more. The game feels super inclusive, often updates, you can see it is made with a lot of love and care for it.
bruh sometimes I just scroll dating sim section looking for a game to play and from time to time my intuition just screams at me to buy some weird *ss game than doesnt have many reviews and I'm happy to report that this game is f-king awesome and I've loved it so so so much <3 cant wait for Act II, kinda glad that I found this game just recently because I dont have to wait as much for the second act... I'm a Tate simp btw and a little bit of a Sawyer enjoyer too uwu
I mean... this game could be cool, sure, as a monster ♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'm excited to see more to come from it. Much more. Much, MUCH more, because this is an *unfinished ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ product*. Phew, there are a lot of things to discuss about this game. First, the art is nice! If you ignore all of the sprite art, of course, which at some points doesn't even try to resemble whatever it's trying to be. The inconsistencies are all over. The interactables are indistinguishable. You can't tell key characters apart from the NPCs. Okay, second, the elephant in the room. The bugs galore! Oh, how I wish I didn't have two menus pop up when I press tab without walking away from some character, or to not have the UI slide off the screen, or to not have unreadable, brightly coloured text, like the names or phone chats. Speaking of screen, how nice it'd be to have more than 2 options: tiny and fullscreen. Oh, how I wish the map was actually finished, how, for example, one dorm room at AAA is just straight up missing a wall to collide with. Oh, how I wish the story was actually implemented and you didn't have to randomly pop into random cutscenes that you don't expect at literally any time of day/night. That'd be, like, nice But on the positive side, the dialogues are quite entertaining, the characters are fun, and even though you get to shag only five of them there's something for everyone (Hexecutioner makes buying this game worth it. At least a third worth, though. Had a legit crush on the guy for two days.) I just wish it was easier to follow everything happening and everyone, to have at least a proper log or diary. No, the memories tab doesn't count. Oh, and the sex is nice. Overall, again, I'd really like this game if it was trying a little more. Or if I knew what I am getting into, because in it's current state I'm appalled it's not marked as early access and costs 15 USD. Those two facts are what makes this all so disappointing. Looking forward to new updates, though! Just please put a beta sticker on this.
I bought this game on a whim because it has two of my favorite themes: romance and horror. I didn't expect to have as much fun as I did, but it definitely impressed me with the characters and plot lines that have already been created. Can't wait to see where Act 2 and Act 3 will lead. I'm already chomping at the bit to continue the romance storylines....! (Also, obligatory declaration of my love for Sawyer).
fun lil horror dating game
Absolutely rad game! I'm super excited for Act 2 to come out on Steam (though I've already played through the alpha)! My only "critique," if you can even call it that, is that I wish we could full-on romance a few of the non-dateable characters (namely Neil and Ivan). I highly recommend this game!
This game makes my brain happy.
