About

SLASHER U is a 90's inspired, 18+ reactive dating sim with (optionally toggleable) full-blown sex mechanics and minigames, an open-world explorable 2D map, a huge story-rich branching narrative based on dynamic Character Feelings systems, gothy y2k-inspired hand-drawn art, and TONS of balls-to-the-wall horror movie theming based on the vibrant history of horror from the 90's, 2000's, and beyond!
Everyone's* favorite indie horror movie dating sim that punches you in the face with dick jokes AND pathos is now on Steam! (Act 1 of a 3-part episodic series)
*punching mileage may vary
*****THIS GAME IS MEANT FOR ADULTS AGED 18 AND ABOVE*******
HEXECUTIONER JONES-MACDUFF
A legacy admit thrust into the life of a masked slasher by his overbearing dads, Hex is a frat boy himbo with a heart of gold who wants nothing more than to wear slides all day, smoke weed, make friends, and listen to ICP.
JUNO "JU-ON" PARK
Antagonistic, thrillseeking, and completely unable to connect with their emotions in a genuine way, Juno puts the FUCK in FUCK YOU. What, that doesn't count as a joke? You wanna fight about it? Or like, kiss about it? Or talk about my fucked-up family and how they impacted how I see myself and my place in the world about it?
LAILA VELASQUEZ
Putting the "Final Girl" in "Girlboss", Laila Velasquez is top at everything: Top of her class, top in the bedroom, and top at trying to get the rest of these assholes to appreciate just how much work she puts into being THIS perfect.
SAWYER FERGUSON
Undergrad masked murderer who's now in law school, Sawyer just can't shake the fact that he liked chasing co-eds down with a chainsaw a little TOO much. For a guy who's struggling to be the most consensual slasher in existence, can he have his cake (you) and stab it too (hopefully not you, unless you're into that)?
TATE MCGILLICUTTY
An A/V nerd with a big, dark, Eldritch secret, Tate's favorite things are video editing, substance abuse, losing his shit on set, and processing his trauma through the lens of B-movies. Not necessarily in that order.
15+ HOURS (3+ hours per romance arc!) of RPG style gameplay with items, unlocks, quest chains, story choices & story puzzles, etc, all revolving around the main romances
Full Character Customization including hair, makeup, body types, skin, & facial features - plus more to discover in-game!
Dynamic Feelings Systems for each character that keeps track of everyone's feelings for you, based on their memories, for a different playthrough every time!
Makeout minigames unique to each character!
Full blown sex minigames unique to each character!
Five dateable characters (so far), with more content as voted on by the community!
Full optional story-integrated polyamory (or, for maximum drama, uncommunicative cheating!)
Fully art’ed hand-drawn characters with a bevy of reacts!
Collectible cosmetics, including wearable outfits, phone skins, and more!
90’s inspired open-world adventure game map in All-American Murder College Theming!
Romances ranging from vanilla, to kinky, to chaste, to everything in between!
Toggle between R-Rated and Hard Explicit 18+ at any time for all my aces out there (and twitch streamers) with no gameplay or romance penalty; plenty of stage-based consent checks for The Weird Shit. Also, enjoy the Weird Shit!
Every relationship is written with a full spectrum of orientations in mind: each potential romance will dynamically react based on player gender, orientation, the character's personal experiences, and more!
Tons of fun gender stuff like character creation having separate gender and sex options!
Evolving relationships with plenty of models, systems, and interlocking storylines and quests, from pursuing your crush to relationship life (or undeath, your call)
Bonus Slasher U minigames that’re horror/slasher/college themed, like Hallway Sprinting 101, Bartending, and Student Hunting 101
An homage to scary movies and a serious attempt to make a well-balanced, reactive, romantic, emotionally pathos-laden, and contextually satisfying sexy dating sim (with tons of y2k style dick jokes)

Slasher U may sound like a wild ride in a horror-themed university, but it's more than that—it's a rollercoaster of feelings, laughs, some really intense scenes. This game doesn't just touch on grown-up topics; it balances on the line between controversy and exceptional storytelling. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3128514242
Storyline
First things first, take the warning seriously. This game is for adults, and it doesn't hold back on grown-up stuff. But beneath the surface of intimate games and cheeky jokes, there's a complicated story. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3128514324 Meet the diverse and interesting cast: Hex, the charming but surprisingly deep himbo; Juno, the antagonistic character with hidden layers; Laila, the captivating and intimidating "Final Girl"; Sawyer, the conflicted slasher with a shaky moral compass; and Tate, the A/V nerd with a fascinating secret.
Gameplay
What really stands out is the dynamic feelings system that shapes the story based on characters' memories and interactions. Your choices matter and affect how the story unfolds, making each new playthrough feel fresh and different. This game is really open-minded. It covers diverse sexual preferences and orientations, and you can adjust content sensitivity to suit your comfort level. It mixes humor, spicy content, and real emotions smoothly.
Graphics
The art has this cool Y2K look, making it stand out and match the horror story. The 90s-style open-world map feels like a trip back to classic horror movies. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3128514407
Final Verdict
Slasher U isn't just a typical dating sim. It's a bold exploration of storytelling, relationships, and grown-up themes, finding the right mix between exciting content and a meaningful story. If you're up for a thrilling journey through a spooky university that's both sexy and emotionally charged, this is the game for you. I didn't expect to enjoy it this much! It's really fun! And yes, I absolutely love Tate and Sawyer!
I'm aroace but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is Sawyer's route a perfect mix of scathing brutality (in a consensual sex way) and gut-wrenching tenderness. I haven't even finished the game yet I'm so tempted to start new save files just to romance the other dateables <3
this is a mixed review btw look everything is good and i love it but the only problem im having is the amount of bugs for the brief five hours of my playtime ive encountered so many bugs that ion even know what to do anymore its just so buggy i really wish the devs can fix that otherwise its unplayeble for me as it gets into a glitchy loop unless i think of some counter measures to try to solve that?? which doesnt work everytime so
I spent several hours on the demo and was absolutely loving the game! So, of course, I bought it... But then, within just two hours of playing (a quarter of which was spent creating my character), I encountered so many bugs that I was genuinely stunned. They completely ruin the experience. Such a letdown. Especially since I didn't find a single bug in the demo. Well, except for that one time before the ball with Sawyer when I ran into his clone – the regular version of Sawyer. The developer is working on Act 2, even though they haven't fixed the bugs from the first game in two years. That makes me think these bugs are here to stay. Had this been labeled Early Access, I would have understood, but it's sold as a finished product. In the end, I refunded the game. I'd rather just replay the demo.
More games should let me put masked killers in pink bondage 10/10
The writing in this is phenomenal. I don't play a lot of (any) dating sims, but I picked this one up based on a friend's suggestion. And as history geek, and a queer person, this game has a depth of knowledge and thoughtfulness informing its lore that got me hooked within the first fifteen minutes. And it's funny! But with pathos - sometimes in the most unexpected places. I am truly delighted to uncover more of the narrative with each click, and have become very interested in every character's arc and backstory. There's so much worldbuilding, and the mechanics actively encourage exploration and interaction with the NPCs, too!
Jesus, daddy, and the spook, this game is something special! Every romance I've pursued so far has made me say, out loud, "holy moly I love this dude more than anything." Which I admit, probably says as much about me as it does about the game. But as someone who consumes an inordinate (read: shameful) amount of adult-to-adultish video games without having left a comment/review before, I feel like it should really say something for me to give Slasher U crazy props here: The artwork is amazing. The storylines are engaging. The characters are *iconic* (just ask the stans on discord). The gameplay is casual and forgiving, while still requiring player interaction and thought. And of course, the dirty bits are loads of fun. LOADS and loads. ;) If you're into pixel graphics, Lovecraft, slashers, interactive dirty talk, roleplay, CNC, sci-fi jokes, pop-culture references, tons of innuendo, or if you've ever had inappropriate thoughts about being Pyramid Head's mannequin "friend" in Silent Hill 2, I am pretty darn sure you'll appreciate this game.
This game is very cute and Hex is my new boyfriend <3
I thought i was ace....now i don't know anything anymore...except the fact that this game is hella awesome B) 10/10 will smash again and again and again and again!
