램파트의 Ready aim Fire! 를 기억하는 사람들에게 클래식 아케이드의 귀환이라며 광고하지만 티저영상의 박진감은 전혀 느껴지지 않는 안타까운 게임. 한글화가 되어있긴 하지만 번역 퀄리티가 매우 좋지않음.. 기본 게임방식인 담장짓기-대포설치-대포를 쏴서 적 담장 부수기 루틴 외에도 보스전으로 강철요새, 용(드레이크) 등이 준비되어 지루함을 달래지만 스킬트리를 통해 여러가지 특성을 개방할 수 있는데 밸런스 망가뜨리기 딱 좋은 특성들.. 386시절과 똑같이 로컬멀티 가능, 온라인 기능 없음. 한시간정도면 적당히 찍먹 가능하고 90프로 세일가격 기준으로 추천은 합니다만.. 묘하게 싸구려 폰게임 냄새가 납니다.

I have been having a lot of fun playing Sky Cannoneer! It has a great retro feel to the look, sounds, and has a lot of depth in the different levels you play and challenges that you're faced with. I love that you can switch up your strategy with the Tech Tree, and explore different specializations with your defenses with different upgrades. It's a really fun game that takes the spirit of a game like Rampart, and realizes what it would be like 30 years later with awesome graphics and a ton of depth to play through and enjoy.

Its a fun game with a lot of strategy and potential. There are some things I do not like about the game for example the annoying star system. I would prefer to have many varied levels than play the same level 10 times trying to meet an annoying criteria. Ex. Win with only 3 cannons. So despite the game being based on strategic building and placement, you just place your stuff and hope your CPU opponent screws up their build as otherwise your 3 cannons destroy less each turn than your enemy can place. I am not butt hurt because I cant beat the requirements, I just find playing in that fashion boring and monotonous and not something I would pay money to enjoy. However, The developer has been in touch and is willing to work on the game and improve. I am willing to recommend this game based on the developers willingness to improve it.

Hat man erst einmal ca. 10 Level gespielt, zieht der Schwierigkeitsgrad ganz schon an. Um auch in den schwereren Leveln zu bestehen, kann man diverses upgraden. Die Runden spielen sich innerhalb weniger Minuten. Da es keine besondere Story gibt, kann man das Spiel gut zwischendurch spielen. Unterm Strich mach das Spiel Spaß, ist aber jetzt auch nicht wirklich der Knaller. Wem kurze, rundenbasierte Arcade-Spiele mit leichter Action und etwas Strategie viel Spaß machen, sollte das Spiel aber auf jeden Fall einmal näher betrachten.

I played Rampart on Amiga years ago. And have not found too many games similar to it, which is surprising. Sky Cannoneer is fun to play tower defence. If has pretty good story mode campaign. Game difficulty is mostly balancer. Although last missions no not feel so fun anymore. Recommended!
