About
Sketchy's Contract is a co-op sci-fi horror looting game set in a mysterious asteroid belt where you, a traveler, have caught wind of an strange broadcast while in deeps pace that promises a grand adventure with rewards beyond comprehension. Your duties will be simple but fun! Whether alone or with friends, you'll be able to travel to and explore exotic planets, harvest planetary materials, fight alien lifeforms, search for scattered loot, help run a burger shop, play mini games at an arcade and decorate your apartment and ship! The catch? There's no catch at all...
While Sketchy's is NOT a story driven game, there is however, a small optional linear story that players can complete that will explain everything involving Sketchy. Simply follow the Story Quests as they lead you from planet to planet searching for something known as "Memory Fragments". You'll even be rewarded with your very own golden flamingo in-game trophy for completing it.
Progression is incredibly important in Sketchy's. Your going to face some pretty deadly enemies and having enough health and damage to take them on is crucial. The more loot you, the more XP you gain to level up, earning you points to spend at the Suit Modifier to change attributes such as Health, Attack Power, Stamina, and more.
The Night Shift is one of the more unique aspects of Sketchy's. You get to decide whether to stay on the planet and survive the Night Shift or leave and not risking a Team Wipe. Staying overnight means getting access to much more valuable loot but also fighting much more deadly enemies. The choice is always yours.
Loot Sketchy Access Crates - The map is broken up into difficulty-based sections called Security Levels. Finding and opening access crates spread throughout the map can reveal codes that grant access to new security levels containing more valuable loot and higher security access crates..
Loot Gatherables - Gathering is one of the major of ways of getting loot to meet your quota. You'll be able to Dig up hidden treasure, Mine Ore, and Harvest Herbs all with the single click of a button. You will also be able to level up your gathering skills via your suit modifier, allowing you to perform gathering actions much more efficiently.
Loot Corpses of the Creature you Kill - if you're brave enough, you can be the hunter instead of the hunted and kill creatures. Most of them can be picked up while some of them might require a shrink ray to make them light enough to carry.
All loot is important and its even more so when it comes to the Burger Shop. Certain loot can be brought to the inventory room in the Burger Shop and restocked on the Shelves to build progress toward game perks. As you fill the inventory higher and higher, you'll gain access to things like cooking burgers, brewing coffee, and even a Black Market Vendor that spawns randomly on planets each contract with extremely powerful weapons/utilities items.
Cooking Burgers is just one of perks you can unlock. Consuming one of these instantly heals you to full then heal per second over 30 mins afterwards. Additionally all damage is increased by 10% for that duration.
Another perk is 30% discount from the Black Market Vendor who is a special NPC that appears randomly on different planets each contract based on planetary conditions. Everything sold here is pricey but powerful.
Keep in mind though that Aliens will visit the Burger Shop as you play, consuming a small amount of your Shop inventory as they order food. You'll need to work hard for the Burger Shop if you want to keep all those fancy optional Perks. The choice is yours.
As your complete contracts, you'll gain rewards in the form of credits, arcade coins and gotcha coins all which can be used to purchase new player skins, furniture to decorate your apartment and ship, as well as play mini games at the arcade.
Decorate your apartment with 100+ different unlockables and that's not to mention all the corpses you collected as trophies. There's even a loot convertor machine that allows you to convert collected loot into furniture so that you never lose them on a contract wipe.

Quality, Quantity, No Microtransactions and a Ton of Fun. Of all the offshoots there have been from Lethal Company, Sketchy’s is hands down my favorite. The level variety, amount of weapons, collectibles, enemies, upgrades, armor sets is frankly absurd and I’ve never had a single crash in multiplayer. This is how games used to be made and in a better game industry, still would be. For under $10 it’s worth every penny and then some. The latest update has made a few much appreciated changes to gameplay and as far as I’ve seen thusfar, only 2 that I’ve had any issue with. Automatically replenishing night vision energy after deactivation as opposed to having to recharge on a wall unit is a godsend as dark as this game can get as well as increased health regen speed in the medbay and auto revives by default. All of the new little details added to the different maps are great too. The only two issues I have is that only having 1 planet for Teir 1 to build up loot for Teir 2 is a bit limiting, as especially the snow map was one of our most played maps to do so previously. Secondly, while auto regen in safe zones as opposed to wall chargers is appreciated the insanely increased depletion of Oxygen now needs to be fixed asap. The degeneration rate was honestly fine as it was before, just enough to be able to explore areas in full with O2 levels upgraded, but still keep you on your toes, now even with fully upgraded O2, it is depleted in around 30 seconds (despite literally being upgraded to provide several hundred seconds). You have enough to get to maybe 1 or 2 crates in Teir 2 before having to run all the way back to the safe room and you’re likely to lose half your health if you go for a second, some are flat out physically impossible to reach without dying now, that just don’t work. Still love the game, but that O2 issue needs to be addressed in the next patch.

I really wanted this game to be good. I followed it for a while and I know what to expect from solo devs. However; this was a cash grab following the trend of frinedslop. I was actually hopeful that this would be different. I was hopeful that the dev would fully flesh it out. That is not the case. The developer gave up. They only plan to do hotfixes for a short while until they move on to their other game. It's way too soon. There are too many game breaking issues as well as the flow of gameplay which isn't something a hotfix can fix. Enemies attack through doors. Characters fall through maps. Items disappear or reappear. You can't change any settings or keybinds so the roll can get you killed because it's next to the windows button. Sometimes players can't swim. Sometimes players will lose oxygen after respawning. Sometimes the radio will sound like its working but doesnt. Every animation clips through everything. Melee is broken and not worth doing so you are forced to go to range. The shop forces you to give them ingredients to level up the shop to get access to perks but then they sell those over time so you have to constantly be filling it. Some enemies still have no real way to deal with them like the singing robot that can instantly shoot rockets and turn on a dime. The shop only has a few items or weapons. As soon as you feel like you might get ahead; one bug resets your run completely and with the amount of bugs or issues... IT'S NOT WORTH BUYING. BUY REPO INSTEAD IF YOU NEED HORROR FRIENDSLOP. I'm getting tired of these devs that pretend to care when they only want your money like a corpo.
so much fun to play
Fun with friends, only thing is you have to drop weapon on the ship before logging out or you would lose the item. I hope they did it in a way you drop items where you left instead. I think it needs some of tutorial where *You can dodge Pew Pew's direct missile hit if you vibe*, Found this out when we play with a random. Maybe it does say somewhere but we didn't know about it. I kind of hope it's easier to choose the emote because if you were to choose the wrong emote you end up dying. The arcade is like a chill mini game after "work". Love it! Get the reward from gacha machine and play some crane game. I am hoping for more character skins in future!
Been playing this game since early access and I can say, this developer is awesome. They listen to feedback and made great changes to the game both during early access but also when the game officially launched. Even more impressive is that this game is made by a solo dev. I started playing when I saw EZ Small (Gab, Gary, Sinow and John) play for the first time. Even though it is made for multiple players, I even have fun playing by myself. 10/10 Developer and I look forward to the next adventure you will take us on with the next game.
I really like this game, though most of my experience was prior to apparently a pretty major update (or more than one) which I think made it even better! Extraction game, going to a planet, getting loot to meet a quota, get back to ship. The element of parts of the level being locked away until you find codes to unlock them is cool. The option to either leave at night and let all the loot respawn, or stay through the night to try to get to the better loot is awesome. I've recently played a lot of, and love, Repo, but there's two aspects of Sketchy's personally enjoy more. One is that you level up your suit so even after you die you're still stronger for the next run. And the other is that all the items are available to purchase as opposed to an rng shop. (Well, some items are locked behind higher more dangerous tiers, but not randomized). Its not without it's glitches, but I don't think I've experienced anything game breaking. Really the only con I have isn't related to the game at all but kind of sadly an aspect of people playing it. People regularly make their games public without any actual intention of strangers joining them, so trying to find a group to play with can be difficult. Mostly you just boop into a game and then quickly get booted out. So you really have to have a group of friends to play with. Hopefully the community grows and then Discord can be a great way to meet people if you're otherwise solo, but you definitely can't expect to join random groups in public servers.
Thank you space cat
I've heard it compared to REPO and Lethal, and the only thing I'll say on that is if you're comparing them, this one is FAR MORE superior by 10000%. It makes you think, you laugh as someone gets killed by a pile of treasure, it is constantly with updates, the fact that it's just PRETTY as well? Dev does amazing work, and clearly isn't paid enough. Please play this game, it is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. PS: I hate envy so much that Gollum stealing jerk
The Newest Update Causes Myself to no longer want to play the game. First off had removed the only other world from being able to be played on tier 1 which in retrospect is a constant repeat of the same thing until you can build up to get better weapons and such to progress to higher tiers loses attraction and becomes boring. The next big issue is no longer being able to upgrade your suit while in game for things such as damage, oxygen, health, and so on; with that being as it currently is how would anyone be able to achieve the quota which had also changed to the max on tier one instead of starting with 200 and progressing up if they're just starting out? Lastly The oxygen depletion even though i have while played applied quite a few points into my oxygen to be able to proceed in security level 2 areas; the way the oxygen depletes as fast as it does now i no longer can even reach further loot crates half way without needing to turn around so i no longer can get the code for security level 3. With this being said the game is no longer fun for me just more irritating and annoying. Possibly in the future when changes are made to fix these issues it might be worth playing again but as it currently stands i personally would not recommend to anyone that i game with. I will still give the game a chance with future updates and checkout to see if anything has improved but as of right now i am not a fan.
