About
Sketchy's Contract is a co-op sci-fi horror looting game set in a mysterious asteroid belt where you, a traveler, have caught wind of an strange broadcast while in deeps pace that promises a grand adventure with rewards beyond comprehension. Your duties will be simple but fun! Whether alone or with friends, you'll be able to travel to and explore exotic planets, harvest planetary materials, fight alien lifeforms, search for scattered loot, help run a burger shop, play mini games at an arcade and decorate your apartment and ship! The catch? There's no catch at all...
While Sketchy's is NOT a story driven game, there is however, a small optional linear story that players can complete that will explain everything involving Sketchy. Simply follow the Story Quests as they lead you from planet to planet searching for something known as "Memory Fragments". You'll even be rewarded with your very own golden flamingo in-game trophy for completing it.
Progression is incredibly important in Sketchy's. Your going to face some pretty deadly enemies and having enough health and damage to take them on is crucial. The more loot you, the more XP you gain to level up, earning you points to spend at the Suit Modifier to change attributes such as Health, Attack Power, Stamina, and more.
The Night Shift is one of the more unique aspects of Sketchy's. You get to decide whether to stay on the planet and survive the Night Shift or leave and not risking a Team Wipe. Staying overnight means getting access to much more valuable loot but also fighting much more deadly enemies. The choice is always yours.
Loot Sketchy Access Crates - The map is broken up into difficulty-based sections called Security Levels. Finding and opening access crates spread throughout the map can reveal codes that grant access to new security levels containing more valuable loot and higher security access crates..
Loot Gatherables - Gathering is one of the major of ways of getting loot to meet your quota. You'll be able to Dig up hidden treasure, Mine Ore, and Harvest Herbs all with the single click of a button. You will also be able to level up your gathering skills via your suit modifier, allowing you to perform gathering actions much more efficiently.
Loot Corpses of the Creature you Kill - if you're brave enough, you can be the hunter instead of the hunted and kill creatures. Most of them can be picked up while some of them might require a shrink ray to make them light enough to carry.
All loot is important and its even more so when it comes to the Burger Shop. Certain loot can be brought to the inventory room in the Burger Shop and restocked on the Shelves to build progress toward game perks. As you fill the inventory higher and higher, you'll gain access to things like cooking burgers, brewing coffee, and even a Black Market Vendor that spawns randomly on planets each contract with extremely powerful weapons/utilities items.
Cooking Burgers is just one of perks you can unlock. Consuming one of these instantly heals you to full then heal per second over 30 mins afterwards. Additionally all damage is increased by 10% for that duration.
Another perk is 30% discount from the Black Market Vendor who is a special NPC that appears randomly on different planets each contract based on planetary conditions. Everything sold here is pricey but powerful.
Keep in mind though that Aliens will visit the Burger Shop as you play, consuming a small amount of your Shop inventory as they order food. You'll need to work hard for the Burger Shop if you want to keep all those fancy optional Perks. The choice is yours.
As your complete contracts, you'll gain rewards in the form of credits, arcade coins and gotcha coins all which can be used to purchase new player skins, furniture to decorate your apartment and ship, as well as play mini games at the arcade.
Decorate your apartment with 100+ different unlockables and that's not to mention all the corpses you collected as trophies. There's even a loot convertor machine that allows you to convert collected loot into furniture so that you never lose them on a contract wipe.

This is a great game, playable and enjoyable solo but best with friends. Especially after the series of recent updates that streamlined many processes and made it easier to get past the early levels. The game is unforgiving of failure but you can work around it with strategy and planning to avoid situations like total group wipes or failing a contract (aim to always have backup loot stored in the ship or apartment in case you can't make the quota!) Each map has its own unique flavour and enemies in addition to the standard ones. There's plenty of jump scares and suspenseful moments when you're trying not to die but it also isn't super scary or gory for people who aren't usually into horror games. Be warned the game still has bugs and glitches could end up with losing loot randomly or dying by accident but as long as you don't take it too seriously (you're working for Sketchy after all) it isn't game breaking. Honestly the bugs almost add to the game even when they feel a bit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the moment! I would like to see more options to customise the ship (e.g. stats or bonuses that affect game play or even just more cosmetic options to enlarge or otherwise upgrade the ship) so that the sense of progression feels more meaningful as something to strive towards. Also if it was better at saving furniture and decorations you have set up on the hosts's ship and apartment. Otherwise when you play with friends, one person hosts so you rarely see your own ship and apartment if your friend keeps the host files, and your decorations disappear as soon as you log out and have to be set up again the next time. (EDIT: This furniture saving issue has now been fixed in a recent update, a lot of other bugs have also been resolved). I think the multiplayer experience could be a little better optimised in this regard, but on the whole I can't complain. This is a fantastic game. I'm a little sad it sounds like the dev won't be continuing with major updates after the Full Release because the updates to date have added so much to the game. I hope there will continue to at least be minor updates or events to change things up a bit after Full Release. Keep up the good work

good game
Great with Friends.
Killing Alien's and selling their corpses for cash?! COUNT ME IN! 10/10 on the pear scale!
Yes.
TLDR: Loving the game so far. Got my mingo stolen by golum who then turned around and basically beat me with it. Then ran screaming as another friend got mauled by a xenomorph looking thing. 10/10 experience. Overall, for a Solo Dev in Early Access, there is so much potential. Awesome game so far, lots of laughs, many scares, And would recommend to anyone who may want more of a challenging experience. I have about 20hours into it and at first a few friends and I treated it more as a meme thing, or another friendslop game. But the more that we played and got into the game, I feel the better it became. Starting off can be difficult, the game is NOT FORGIVING. I think a tutorial section including some of the basic store items, as well as movement would be good to get people more into it, (it took us a long time to learn you could dodge enemies xD) this way you can have an idea of what items do what and how you should approach each run, as my first few runs ended with death, death, and more death. DONT JUST JUMP IN AND SAY HELL WITH IT!!!!! No seriously, you will most likely die, and we learned there is a lot of strategy to what you should be doing. We finally unlocked tier 2 and it has my friend group shaking just to try to get past some of these things. The only con I will add is the market system. I think that the rate of credits and how much items are could be adjusted slightly. I feel there is a little too much of a grind to get equipment that can assist you. (At least all T1 stuff. Once you hit T2, I feel it balances out decent with the rewards given when turning in the contract.)
I can't get enough of playing this game, but really the wonderful graphics and sounds keep me coming back for more. All the best to Forsakenhalo for this magnificent creation!
yeeee

Made it to tier 3 and immediately failed the contract after depositing 5800/5450 credits. my ship reset and everything on my shelves and storage was wiped. I wouldnt touch this game after that BS
