If your old enough you might remember that ps1 rockstar stakeboard game, Skate and Destroy, play reminded me of that in good ways. And it's worth it just off the music alone. Best album I've played this year.

It's weird. It's cool. It's personal. The sound track is awesome, and really brings a lot of energy to a game that already feels super kinetic. It's far less arcade-y than other skating games and makes landing a cool string of tricks far more satisfying. The performance is good, and played well on steam deck after tweaking settings a little bit.

[i] I wish there was a neutral option. I don't [b] love [/b] the game, but it doesn't deserve a negative review at all. [/i] The visuals and music are incredible. Absolutely captivating. The gameplay also feels really polished and is a lot of fun even if its mechanics aren't actually that deep. But the overall presentation, and how stylish everything feels, really kept the game going for me. I didn't vibe with the story at all. I didn't understand it (but maybe that's on me). And therefore, the stretches where there's only dialogue, were rather difficult for me to sit through. I'm glad I've played through the whole game by now. But I still thought about quitting early because of those story stretches I didn't seem to understand.
Un jeu vraiment unique en son genre : un univers étrange, une histoire nappée de poèmes et de philosophie... le tout avec une jouabilité qui marie avec efficacité la sensation de liberté du skate et les phases de boss / plateformes. Le rendu est viscéral, sublimé par une bande son qualitative et immersive. J'ai adoré ces phases ou ont traverse des portails !
I went into this expecting a fun little skate game, and I was absolutely blown away. I highly recommend anyone to check this out, even if you don't care for skateboarding. If you do find this worth trying, please go into it as blind as possible; this is one of those experiences you can only truly have once ♥
