По скринам игра выглядит красиво, но в реальности: - визуал тяжёлый для восприятия, локации порой очень короткие и прямолинейные; - ужасное управление (возможно дело привычки и опыта в подобных играх); - игра умудряется тормозить и не идти плавно на современном ПК; - при врезании на скейте в небольшой уступ персонаж разбивается на осколки, появляется характерный звук, но далее не происходит ничего, так что приходиться перезапускать контрольную точку самостоятельно. К достоинствам отнесу прикольный сюжет (будто сон при температуре друга, который любит резко выдумывать странные истории ни с чего), да и саундтрек хороший, разве что некоторые треки не подходят под происходящее. В общем задумка прикольная, но из-за недостатков играть если и можно, то через силу, а делать этого желания нет.

UNPOPULAR OPINION This game isn't for combo makers who want to enjoy sharp turns and sick tricks. It is more visual & artistic rather than mechanic enjoyment. Since I am not a fan of satanic symbolism (eyes, following rabbit, contracts, baphomet star, eating six moons), it annoyed me enough to request a refund. I admire the work put into the game but game mechanics were sloppy. I was expecting a THPS-like game but it was not.

Genuinely one of the worst controls I’ve ever played. It’s unfortunate cuz the visuals and music are great, but the steering is awful. A cargo ship steers better than the character in this game

This would have been impossible as a AAA title. This is a game with an author who had a story that needed an outlet. There was a reason for this game to be made and you can feel it while you're playing. I think the narrative stands on its own as a well-written and thoughtful story. The mechanics stand on their own as genuinely fun gameplay. The soundtrack, made to form for the game, is an accomplishment in and of itself. The visuals are simple but so captivating and so uniquely tailored to this project. The best part is that all of those components are intertwined. The soundtrack is telling you the same story that the written narrative is, a story that is married to the gameplay mechanics on a fundamental level, with all three components being deeply visual. All the parts of the game- sad, angry, thrilling- are like this. This is such a cohesive project, and yet it only exists because someone thought it was important for it to exist, and in that way it's a game about itself. Maybe there are even parts that are weird and off-putting because it wasn't really made for a population as much as it was made for (and by) individuals. I wish more games were like this, on a literal level and an ideological one. This is a paradigm for games as art.

Skating game made me cry wtf

[h1] 3/5 - Great Visual and Sound Design. Skate Too. [/h1] Aesthetic is unique and nice to look at. Sound and music are bangers, especially Blood Cultures really produces amazing stuff. Skating is great, but there are no incentive to chain long tricks (8+ combos), most combos are just 2 - 4 combos. Story is okay, I didn't grasp 100% of the whole thing. But I understand on what the ending they want to convey.

[h1]RECOMMENDED[/h1] If you are a fan of skating games, I suggest to try Skate Story. Bring a good pair of headphones and a controller for the best experience! [h2]What I like[/h2] + Controlling the skateboard is very weighty and the closest to feeling like 'real skating' that I've experienced in a video game. + The artistic style is bold, unique and effective. + The music and SFX are fantastic. + Overall, it's a great experience with surreal storytelling and captivating AV. [h2]What I don't like[/h2] - Physics often bugs out a bit around grindable edges. - Some encounters progress too quickly, causing too-frequent changes of the soundtrack. - The pacing and difficulty are a bit messy; it lacks a smooth difficulty curve and feels too easy for most of the campaign; the final few chapters felt about right, though. - The open-exploration areas are not very interesting or fun - there isn't much to discover there because the skating spots are just the same rails, ramps and blocks arranged slightly differently throughout the areas.

There needs to be more games like this, what a trip. Such a great metaphor for the experience of skating. I HATE SKATEBOARDING. Frotue best character. EAT THE MOON. DEMON TIME.

Это не просто игра - это настоящее произведение искусства. Меня зацепил первый трейлер игры и я очень ждал эту игру, я ознакомился и влюбился в музыку Blood Cultures, а когда впервые поиграл в нее - был очень приятно впечатлен! Часто ловил мурашки по коже. Скоростные секции, где ты мчишься вперед под любимые треки с таким клевым визуалом - это прям чистый кайф! Однако примерно в середине игры таких секций становится мало и можно немножко заскучать, но затем такие скоростные секции идут просто без остановки и игра проходится с огромным удовольствием на одном дыхании.
