when i bought this game i never expected the story from this game can be this deep and good. the game is a work of art, the artwork in the game is really unique. what i love the most is how authentic it feels, the setting of 1960s rural japan is spot-on. they did an amazing job capturing the vibe, the architecture, and the overall feel of japanese folk horror. instead of cheap jump scares, it relies on a heavy, creepy atmosphere and spiriual dread that feels incredibly real and good, iv played silent hill2 but silent hill f is giving another vibe, like i said i havent finish this game yet but im already obsessed with this game, the only thing i dont really like it just the way to attack, it just feels heavy and weird to me, maybe some ppl will like it. i will give this game a 8.5/10

Solid 8/10 game Combat was ok, basically a reaction simulator and the build i did made the game easier than it already is BUT the story is where it shines, honestly when it all clicked for me at the end it made the playthrough SO worth it The ambience is also another strong point, the game is very pretty Tho something to note is that it's optimization is awful, like really bad, i do understand that with my specs i shouldnt expect much, but dropping frames at performance mode was kinda infuriating (I have a ryzen 7 5800H and a rtx 3060 with 16gb ram)
Consiglierei questo gioco? Ni.
I'm somewhat conflicted about this game because I liked half of it, while the other half feels so... disjointed. I'll try to keep it as vague as possible, but expect some light spoilers. Let's start with something positive: The game looks great, and has a lot of personality thanks to its setting. It feels very japanese, and somewhat nostalgic if you ever watched or read Higurashi (and the game kinda uses some stuff from there very lightly). Its identity is really clear and purposeful and I really like that. Also whenever you get to explore the town, it feels fantastic. Just amazing and gave me the same sensation of wonder the same way SH 1 or 2 did back then. Also, the diary getting constant updates, giving us more insight about our protagonist and the world around her, is really great, and you can find a lot of context and foreshadowing by giving it a glance every once in a while. What I find middling is the combat, because you only have melee options, and I find it kind of odd how the character is portrayed as not very girly and really into sports, so they could've added archery as a (very limited) option to deal with enemies and not just bashing them with melee weapons. And while this heavy focus on melee combat actually made the bosses somewhat imposing, you only need to learn how to perfect dodge and is not that hard to do, so with enough consistency, most enemies won't be able to touch you. Now, the bad part about the game is how inconsistent it runs, you really need a good PC to run it well, and even then the framerate dips quite a lot despite having the fog to alleviate most of the load. Then we have the Otherworld. Unlike many others Silent Hill games where the Otherworld is something that creeps into the MC's world, the representation of the Otherworld in here is just disruptive in a really bad way. It almost feels like FarCry 5 where you're forcefully taken away from whatever you're doing to do a "somewhat" different segment to move the plot forward. In here, whenever Hinako falls unconcious, you swap to a new section of the game, and the pacing there begins to crawl and it feels really annoying. The way they tried to pace this instead of trying to connect the Otherworld with the "mundane" world like the previous game did, it cripples the experience a lot, because whenever you had to go through the world of rust and decay in any other SH game, it feels exhilarating, scary and mysterious. In here it feels mysterious at first, but then it becomes dull and repetitive and doesn't flow well with the exploration segments of the game. I wouldn't mind it if this only happened once or twice through the game, but it keeps happening all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time where you're dragged back to the rape realm and you're forced to endure one and a half hours walking in spooky rooms without much substance to it. Regardless of that, the plot is interesting, and despite some people claiming this game is feminist or whatever, they're right, at first. Then the game has more going on for it that even a 30 years old man like can relate to an extent. On top of that, if you pay attention enough, I can assure you, the plot is reasonable clear with some mysteries here and there, and also have to admit, going for a NG+ actually changes some cutscenes (and also puts you a new alert if you want to skip a cutscene you haven't watch before) and lets you explore new areas you couldn't before. It isn't much, but at least it is something unlike many other games where NG+ is just going through the same places again but ultra powerful. All in all, I would give it a 6/10 because the rape realm is the least interesting thing about it and that's a cardinal sin when it comes down to Silent Hill. I would've been more willing to forgive most of its faults if it wasn't for the fact that at least half of the game feels like paddling through honey, and you're forced to go through it again in subsequent NG+ playthroughs but that's that. Still recommend it for at least one go.
