[b]Disclaimer:[/b] I am a fan of the Silent Hill Series so there maybe some biases that I'm overlooking. My highest recommendation if you desperately want to play this game buy it on sale because $70 IS STEEP. [b]Pros[/b] - The game is just absolutely visually stunning. You really feel like you are in 1960s rural Japan. - The puzzles are fun! If you are not a fan of them you can change their difficulty separately from the difficulty of the rest of the gameplay. - The game is truly terrifying!! - Has a lot of replayable features. **Cons** - The game has some major performance issues in certain parts of the game even if you balance your settings. I prefer performance over quality so if you are like me you will have some upsetting moments of frame drop or stuttering. I posted my PC specs below so people can compare and make their own decision. - Silent Hill was never known for its amazing combat system. HOWEVER, there is a durability weapon system that adds on to how annoying it can be but its not the end of the world. - There were times I felt that some combat areas were dragged out for way too long and wasn't challenging enough on the hardest setting. Как же хорошо, что я решил пройти эту игру сам, а не слушать экспертов и «тру-фанатов» серии, которые знакомились с ней по летсплеям Жиробас Плея. Восхитительный сюжет, отличный визуал, атмосферные локации и потрясающая музыка. Да, не всё идеально: попытка сделать боёвку в духе Resident Evil получилась довольно мемной. А вафельные рожки, которые всерьёз рассказывают, что это чуть ли не Souls-like, — отдельный вид комедии))))). Ещё очень жаль, что так и не смог найти ту самую «повестку», о которой было столько криков. Видимо, она открывается только после просмотра видео «Silent Hill f — все концовки». А я так искал(((((( В общем, отличная игра. Иногда всё-таки лучше составить собственное мнение, чем пересказывать мнение говорящих голов. Рекомендую.

Masterpiece of layered storytelling. 9/10 Guess I'll Pray

Unfortunatelly Silent Hill f soon became a pretty boring for me – though I'll admit that's just my personal take, and the overall quality of the game is undeniable. My main issue is that horror is always the main focus, with the story feeling more like a side effect; I prefer it the other way around – a strong story where the horror just adds emphasis to it, and that's definitely not what happens in Silent Hill f. There are a lot of copy-pasted monsters whose purpose I never quite understood, and the constant repetitive fights with the same monsters get tiring fast. The combat system is challenging, but often feels unfair, and after a while, beating enemies stops feeling satisfying. The game also never lets up on the horror pacing – there's no real breathing room throughout. On the positive side, the puzzles are interesting and very well designed – they actually make you think. The graphics are flawless, with a genuinely unique look. I admit the game overall is good, just not my cup of tea.

The story, the atmosphere, the paranoia it instils in you. Another SH classic.
