I played Chris Pine as a king. It was awesome.
This game makes me really miss the Choose Your Own Adventure books I had to leave behind when I left home.
The game is a little short for my tastes and I think it'd be nice if it told you what choices affect what stats (even if only after you've made them) but I heartily recommend it for the price!
+1
I liked "Siege of Treboulain" quite a bit. Early on, there was a moment or two when reading about a peculiar throne and its tendency to cut you that I was reminded of a slightly more mature work, but as the story progressed, I got invested in the story and in ruling my kingdom. Indeed, my enjoyment only grew when each choice seemed to matter to an extent. The romances were sweet as well, if very tame, and in the end, I felt the game was a pleasant read and well worth the modest price tag. (7/10)
This is good game. I enjoyed it quite a bit. I think it has interesting story and events which were quite enjoyable. I made two playthroughts: first focusing on martial arts and second one pursuing magic and wisdom. I have to say that the second one was much more better, It is important to make choices continuously so as not to disturb the previous ones. Thanks to this stats checks will be much easier to pass and story will be more pleasant as we succeed more easier. The thing which is not so good are RO. I didn't find any description about them during reading: like what were they hairs/eyes and so on. Also the romance between MC and them were quite poor. Regardless of that story and choices which I could make was good so I can recommend this game.
6/10 a little short but fun to read (6-7std)
It was an enjoyable read. It felt like there were multiple pathways to victory and the game wasn't too harsh - so if you made an incorrect choice, you would have an opportunity to make up for it. The romance was pretty decent for a story like this. There was plenty of opportunity for your character to shine on its own, as well. I'd recommend this story for anyone interested.
This is a satisfying power fantasy story. I'd say that its choices are clear enough to know which stat it's building or testing, and there is a clear feeling that the outcome for the city truly varies based on your choices. And I get the impression you can succeed in different ways (for example, I was a diplomatic magician, but someone could have gone for an intimidating warrior). I felt the romance storyline was a lit flat - perhaps because it's a relatively short story, so the character/relationship isn't fleshed out. However, it delivers well on what it promises, and the author has left room for a sequel. Given I'd happily play it, I think this game has earned a recommendation.
