Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol

Gioco carino che in generale vale i due euro spesi. Ma sfido chiunque a completare la campagna con la fazione tedesca a livello difficile. Semplicemente il gioco imbroglia: gli alleati hanno sempre aerei migliori dei tuoi, che manovrano il doppio dei tuoi e fanno il doppio dei danni mentre possono assorbirne una quantità enorme. Ah, di solito sono anche in numero doppio. Non è che ci sia molto di strategico se ti mettono tutto a sfavore. Nice game, generally worth the two Euros i paied. Though i defy anyone to complete the game using the German faction at Ace level. As the campaign progresses, the game simply CHEAT, pitting you against an enemy with pimped planes, which deal double the damage while absorbing double the damage and performing double the manouvres. Oh, and usually they outnumber you. There's not much strategy if they put you to fight a tank with a pea shooter. And the tank also outrun and outturn you.

모바일게임이라 컴으로 하기에는 지나치게 단순함 터치 기준으로 기획돼서 조작할게 매우 적어서 심심하고 지루합니다 턴중에 모든게 가만히 멈춰있으니 현장감 없고 어색한 느낌 나고요

This is one of those game that makes you want to play just one more mission. The ability to customize your pilots and planes and to choices one makes about which pilots to take up and which missions to fly add a strategic level to the game. The price makes this a MUST buy.

Good enjoyable strategic game, especially for fans of turn-based strategy and aerial combat. Way simpler and way less replayable compared to other Sid Meier titles like Civilization but not a bad experience overall.

Not sure I'd pay full price for Ace Patrol today even at $5, it's a decade-old PC port of a mobile game and has all the problems you'd expect from that, and a playthrough is only around 2 hours long anyway (the different nations are mostly just reskins, there's not too much depth to it). Even back then I only got it as part of a humble bundle, I doubt I would have bought the game on its own. Mobile-ness aside though, it is definitely fun and somewhat unique, I haven't found any other tactical air combat games (well, not computer games, there's definitely some board games like X-Wing) like this in the past 12 years.
