I bought this game so that I could practice in preparation to play live, with friends and a table-top board, We had been spending an hour+ each time re-reading the rules. I play in solitaire mode, i.e. me against robot players. Mission accomplished; now i understand the game mechanics and can focus on strategy. I may crush my friends when next we play. Well, sorry guys; that's the advantage of preparation. Criticisms - the robots are not clever. To win against 4 robots on Hard mode, I have to be efficient, but by no means brilliant. I don't have to pay attention to what they are doing. - it's a bit buggy, especially when combining special cases in one turn. For instance, if you take the Factory by combat with your hero, you might not get a Factory card, and once you've missed that first shot, you can leave and come back to the Factory and you still won't get a card. This might have been fixed recently; I'm not sure. Bottom line: - it's absolutely good enough to be fun and to practice game mechanics - The speed at which you can move through the game makes it much easier to see the cumulative effects of your actions and hone your strategy
I love scythe and when the original team started they did not know much about game programming which broke the entire game for updates and fixes. In short The Knights of Unity should work on an all new release that fixes this game and allows for the expansions. and let the legacy players have a copy of the new game. Until this happens i would tell people to support the Monster couch team in WINGSPAN and WYRMSPAN by the same TT creators of scythe. If Knights of Unity ever stop their were okay with failure design philosophy I will change this to a positive review. There is an opportunity for the KoU here to release something worth our time with airships and rise of fenris also the stand alone scythe game Expeditions
3 years ago they posted admitting that they had failed and that they couldn't fix the game, but not to worry, it's not the end! they haven't posted a single thing since, yet they're still selling this abandonware for $20. don't buy it.
This game DOESN'T WORK. It won't even let you start the game. I want my money back. It crashes constantly and won't even work to START THE GAME!
I love this game, but this digital adaptation is the worst adaptation I have ever seen. BGA is 10000 times better in all way. The UI is unintuitive, information is so unclear, and the graphics don't scale well. Everything about this adaptation is bad.
One of the best designed board games I've ever played. 9/10. My only complaint is that without the modular board, the games can become kind of stale after many many plays. But I'm still having plenty of fun having played dozens upon dozens of matches, from 2 players all the way to 7.
Multiplayer Play & Go games do not send notifications, making them virtually unplayable. Do not buy this game, get the mobile version instead.
Интерфейс для пидорасов, мне неудобно, ничего не понятно
Came to this PC version from the table top. All the elements in the latter are faithfully represented in the former. If I have one gripe I would like to be able to see the bot player moves in more detail. Scythe is a lovely game in whatever format, being both deep in you needing to think a few moves ahead, and broad in the need to get to know the possibilities of each character/player mat combination.
After playing the board game, this is a great digital version that captures the game well! Seeing a little more customization would be kind of cool, but unnecessary for the game.
