Sid Meier's Railroads!

Old school game, but fun.

This is such a great game, even after so many years. Make sure you save your game at every single little change, though, so the crashes won't be that annoying. The only thing it misses comparing to the other newer games of the genre is the possibility of having a "on board" camera on your trains.

Actually works on modern machines (Linux) and is still fun as ever

Das Spiel ist 32-Bit und crasht sonst schnell wegen RAM-Limit. Einfachste Methode: Lade das NTCore 4GB Patch Tool herunter: https://ntcore.com/4gb-patch/ Starte es, wähle Railroads.exe aus und patche sie (macht automatisch Backup). Alternative (manuell): Guide: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1349679487 (Meist nur ein Byte von 0F auf 2F ändern bei Offset 00000140) 2. Kompatibilitätseinstellungen Rechtsklick auf Railroads.exe → Eigenschaften → Kompatibilität: Als Administrator ausführen ✅ Vollbildoptimierungen deaktivieren ✅ KEINEN Kompatibilitätsmodus aktivieren! Danach Dateien auf Fehler prüfen in Steam machen (falls nötig Patch neu setzen). Mit diesen beiden Schritten läuft es bei mir auf Windows 11 stabil, auch längere Sessions. Game plays great even after all these year, great stuff!

It's a fun, super casual train game. Also, to anyone crashing, you just have to change one byte in the executable and it's stable

Why does the game keep crashing? I definitely have the graphics card and ram to handle it.. Is this happening to others?

This game keeps crashing on my computer, running windows 11, the game was great on my old comp

dissapointing that the game crashes almost everytime I play - they need to upgrade the graphics and make the game more stable - It's a great time waster - but if you cant get thru a full game its getting to be a waste of money and resources...... SAD
