There is a total of 26 types of enemies that appear on the stage, and they attack players in various ways, from enemies that shoot beams to attack the player to enemies with special behavior patterns that are hard to read. Some enemies will drop items that make player stronger.
The first stage is simple in terms of enemy behavior and attacks, but the difficulty level increases as you progress through the stages, and you'll need to learn the enemy patterns and player skills to clear the stage.
