Good game, not really scary until late into the second half. The game feels more confusing and makes you feel more rushed than it does scared. The game is well made but is lacking in some areas.
perfection of what it IS, no spoilers for anyone who hasnt played it but its worth playing, ive poured 12 hours into this game non stop, and its INSANELY great.
i'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ traumatized i haven't even finished the game
existing in a genre that is very oftentimes extremely generic and an obvious moneygrab, Shipwrecked manages to stand out. Shipwrecked doesn't gimmick you with a cheap "creepy haunted kids game" twist that's fulfilled by a fnaf-esque jumpscare and nothing else. It has a real story to tell, and real statements to make. not to mention it's pants-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scary. really my major complaint is that there isn't a ton of effort put into maintaining the N64 style but really if that's my only complaint.... it's just a good ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game man!!!!
pooped
As a rule: if you need a walkthrough for the entire game, that's bad. Compelling story, piss poor execution. The puzzles are moon-logic, the interaction patterns are horrendous, half the time things don't load that should, not one ounce of GX was actually put into how the game actually runs for the player. Overall an incredible concept completely ruined by bad controls, horrible conveyance, and lackluster traversal. 6/10, would not recommend unless you have an appetite for jank.
if this game has at all piqued your interest and you dont know every single thing about it, please play it if you get the chance. this game, among the few horror games that i've played, is one of the first games i've played to make me feel genuinely awful while playing, like disgusted and uncomfortable. then again i haven't quite played that many horror games sooo
