Sherlock Holmes: The Mystery of the Persian Carpet

Not bad for a hidden object game. Only 6 skips for puzzle in easy mode. Could not finish it even with a guide because of a randomized puzzle. (pipe puzzle chapter 7)

I'm going to be a little more generous here - as a Hidden Object game it's frustrating but rewarding, it does require near pixel perfect clicking on the scenes but the plot itself is actually pretty interesting, I enjoyed my time with this but I admit I bought it based on the fact it was a Frogwares Game, I'm familiar with their brand of Sherlock Titles and this definitely wasn't it. I also bought Hound of the Baskervilles too... so... yeah... I now know that THIS was the rough going... I don't typically like Hidden Object games. I haven't since my time with Mystery of Ravencroft etc.

Got this as part of a Sherlock Holmes collection as I like detective games. It's perhaps the worst point & click game I've ever played, can't play any further.

I know this game is old, but I still can’t find any justification for its poor design. The riddles feel like they exist only for the sake of having riddles. The difficulty level is wildly inconsistent, and some solutions are based purely on luck rather than logic. I think the developers were aware of this, because they added the option to simply skip puzzles — no hints, no explanations, just skip. That alone says a lot about how broken some of these mechanics are. I bought this game in a bundle for a very low price, but honestly, it wasn’t worth it. I managed to finish it only by having multiple walkthroughs open at the same time. And by the way, there aren’t many of them online, probably because very few people have the patience needed to solve these frustrating puzzles. Don’t be fooled by my playtime either, I didn’t enjoy it. I got fed up during one of the deductions, went for a walk, and forgot to turn off the damn game.

Bad, a lot of clicking around until you find the next piece of barely visible evidence.

Es algo raro. No hay animaciones, no hay doblaje; sólo texto y una música que al principio está bien, pero que se hace bastante repetitiva. Los rompecabezas están geniales, pero el momento previo a realizarlos es un dolor de cabeza. Tener que buscar objetos en fondos prerrenderizados, es especial las huellas de zapato... Experiencia corta, entretenida con los rompecabezas. Si lo compras de rebaja o en pack, merece la pena
