Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 17 → 2.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
It makes no sense, that you have to fast travel over 20 times just to finish the first mission. Worst paced Sherlock game to date.
I was enjoying this game, but it literally crashes constantly when I use the deduction menu which is almost all the time. I've crashed 4 or 5 times in 3 hours and I'm done. Uninstalled.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

If you're a bit of Holmes fan like myself, you'll love this gem! If, on the other hand, you're new to all things Sherlock Holmes, then I can say that it is worth the price. Just make sure, and this includes all you Holmes fans, that your PC/laptop specs meet the minimum at least. If it meets the max, though, then huzzah! From graphics to the ability to OBSERVE the way Holmes observes, I can't help but be without words! It's what every Holmes fan has dreamed of. Oh, and you have extensive use of dear ol' Toby! The one thing I don't like about this game, though, is the lack of cases. And I am talking about canonical cases! Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote a total of 60 stories! That'd be 4 novels and 56 short stories. I'd rate this game 8.7/10!
This was the first game from the Sherlock Holmes series by Frogwares that I got. I played it when I was around 13. By doing a second run a few weeks ago, I can say that this game still holds up nowadays (2025 at the time of writing this review). The graphics have aged well for a 2014 barring a few texture glitches. This is even more impressive knowing that this was not a game made with a very high budget. The voice acting is also very competent. However, some buyers may want to know that this game is not dubbed in any other languages than English and translations are provided in subtitles. This is not an issue for me as I always usually play in English, but this may surprise some players who are used to the dubbing of previous Frogwares games. The atmosphere of the 19th century England is very well translated to this game. The environments are also quite detailed and feel alive. The gameplay, while simple on the surface, is very enjoyable. The game is divided into multiple cases. You explore each crime scenes which can be further examinated in your notebook. Contrary to previous games of the same series, the notebook has indications related to the interactions required by items. You interview several characters and then make deductions. While I had to use a walkthrough when playing older Frogwares games, the puzzles did not feel arbitrary or obtuse. I only had one puzzle from which I did not find the solution without looking up online (without spoiling anything, it is the "Director's Safe"). This is however not a perfect game. First, while the relatively pain-free puzzles may be a strength, it is a rather unchallenging game. It is also quite short: you will likely finish it in less than 20 hours. However, this game is often on sales nowadays so it can be somewhat excusable. It is possible to select a "wrong" conclusion at the end of a case but your decision has no impact on the following cases besides a few nods at the beginning. Some "right" conclusions seem also a bit convoluted and more circumstential than anything else. There are also a lot of traveling, which would be less annoying if these loading screens were less long. Despite these minor flaws, I enjoyed almost every minute of this game and I highly recommend it. Verdict: 8/10 Technical information: I played this game on Slackware 15 with Proton-Sarek 10.15. Playing with DXVK was fine and I did not encounter any graphical issues except for noticeable aliasing (I am playing on a 1080p screen). For curiosity sake, I tested the game a few minutes with WineD3D and the performance absolutely tanked in some environments. However, I encountered a few random crashes without any specific triggers. You may also want to change a few parameters in the configuration file to allow more VRAM usage and better shadow resolutions but the game is still playable without changing these. Please note that you may need to use the DirectX 9 mode on Windows with some AMD GPUs to avoid some flickering. You will easily find how to do this in this game Steam discussions and guides and in its PCGamingWiki page.
Can't progress in the game as it keeps crashing huhu.
