About
All aboard the submarine! Shelldiver is an incremental game about a turtle fishing jellyfish and selling them at their little shop. Help our senior protagonist upgrade their equipment, explore various biomes and oceanic depths, and help out their local turtle population – maybe right after a well-deserved nap!
Your primary resource is jellyfish – the favorite meal of these turtles! With your handy bubble gun, you can chase and capture various unique types of jellyfish, each with their own unique spin – and taste, probably – then sell them at your little shop. Electric jellyfishes, mutant amalgamations, hellish jellies who explode when nearby – the more you collect, and the faster you do, the more money you get to invest back into your business!
On top of the gelatinous creatures, you will also have other types of resources floating about near the ocean floor to scrap for parts! Use your powerful laser blaster to take apart human trash, crystal rocks, mushrooms, and other distinct components, then use them to upgrade your submarine, tools and more.
The more you collect, progress and explore, the more opportunities you'll get to improve your skills. With a large branching skill tree, you can pick and choose your favorite perks and customize your future expeditions to maximize the things you want most – from your oxygen tank to the size of your shop!
The ocean is vast, and your clientele is demanding! Unlock and explore various unique biomes – from volcanic waters to crystalline caverns – as well as their varying depths and unique resources. Just don't forget to check your oxygen supply!

Recommended I picked up Shelldiver expecting a simple incremental game to relax with for a few hours. What I got was a game that constantly gave me another reason to dive back into the ocean. The gameplay loop is incredibly satisfying. Every expedition feels like you're accomplishing something, whether it's finding a new biome, upgrading your gear, discovering a new jellyfish, or finally reaching a depth that previously felt impossible. It does a great job of making progression feel tangible without overwhelming you with systems. What surprised me most was how much personality the game has. The elderly turtle protagonist, the little village, and the gradual rebuilding of the community give the upgrades a sense of purpose beyond simply making numbers go up. It never forgets to be charming. I also appreciated that it knew exactly how long it wanted to be. It kept introducing new goals and upgrades without dragging things out just to inflate the playtime. By the end I felt satisfied rather than burned out, which isn't something I can say about every incremental game. If I had one criticism, it's that once you've seen everything there isn't a huge reason to keep playing. But honestly, I don't think that's a flaw. Not every incremental game needs to become something you play forever. Sometimes it's enough to have a well-paced experience, reach the end, and walk away happy. Shelldiver understands that better than most. It's a cozy, polished little game that respects your time, and that's exactly why I enjoyed it.
If you enjoy incremental games, this is one of the better ones. Very cute art style, and an engaging gameplay loop. You always feel like you're making progress towards something and never feel like things are stalling out while you grind for upgrades. Towards the end of the game, things start to get pretty crazy with all the things you'll have going on-screen. It also knows when to end instead of wasting your time like some incrementals can do. My play time was enough to 100% the game. If you have an afternoon to kill and just want a fun game, give this one a try.
Short and Fun. Not super grindy and doesnt take that long to complete. would recommend
