Overall the pacing of the game is setup such that you'll only unlock the next monster when you finish the skill tree for the current monster. It makes the game very linear since you don't get to decide when you're ready to try to farm stronger monsters. It also turns the game into a grind pretty quickly. Completed upgrades should always have a consistent color. It's a little confusing right now. Because red = unavailable, but what indicates that it's affordable are the sparkles around it, not the color of the upgrades.

nice little game. pacing a bit off. But ++
The game has a terribly unbalanced upgrade system. Damage upgrades are extremely significant, since at max upgrades, both the meteor and bombs, etc., can one-shot enemies, while a normal attack takes two hits. So basically, a single upgrade increases damage by anywhere from 25% to 100%. Area-of-effect upgrades are hard to evaluate, but it's not like they make a huge difference. Next in importance is speed. Initially, it gives about 10% to DPS, but with each subsequent upgrade, the effect becomes more and more laughable, gradually approaching the point where it barely matters at all. Critical hits are downright ridiculous — a 1% increase is literally a 1% boost to DPS, and with each upgrade, it barely impacts DPS at all. The only saving grace is that early on, they're fairly cheap. The game is clearly designed so that you buy about 95% of upgrades before moving on to the next stage. But after purchasing all the damage upgrades — which you can do fairly quickly — you spend about 80% of the remaining time in that stage just grinding useless upgrades, waiting for the next enemy to show up.
It is fun, relaxing, neat game. It is satisfying to progress through the upgrades. Recommended.
Love it! tolles Spiel mit entspannender Musik.
