Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution

I got hooked almost immediately, it really feels and plays like any of the modern Shantae games but with the old pixel art style. My only complain is that there is no map, and I got lost frequently.

Я прошёл все другие части серии (кроме оригинальной первой игры на GameBoy Color) и только во время прохождения этой части я понял, почему мне так нравится эта серия (помимо красивых тяночек). Это очень продвинутая версия "Adventure Island 4" на NES. Вот прям так же воспринимаются игры серии "Shantae", как когда-то "Adventure Island 4". Прям окно в детство. Что касаемо конкретно этой части - отсутствие карты может многих отпугнуть. А так это всё та же "Shantae", хз чо там ноют в отзывах. Фанатам серии играть обязательно. Для вката в серию тоже можно, но моё знакомство было с "Shantae and the Pirates Quest".

Si bien este es un juegazo, me parece bastante absurdo que este juego corra tan mal en computadora, si bien mi laptop no es muy potente actualmente, tampoco es que necesite de demasiados recursos para este juego, hasta la switch lo corre mejor y eso es decir mucho. si bien en parte fue mi error no verificar los requisitos del juego, tampoco es que hay que pensar mucho en que un juego de game boy advance me pida toda la computadora, ni seven sirens o half genie gero me piden tanto, por favor resuelvan esto

I really needed to play a new Shantae game! I just wish WayForward could make a port for PC of original Shantae...

久々に日本語が無くなったんですね。じゃあ、日本語実装して遊んでから再度おすすめレビュー書きますよ。英語の勉強になると思ってリスキーリベンジもパイレーツオブカースも我慢してやりましたけど、身についてないから結局翻訳サイトでちまちまネタバレしながらプレイするしかなかったんですよ。もういいんですよ、多言語の勉強なんて。

The premise has the Half Genie Hero venture into a mysterious cave where Risky messed up the continel arrangements of the world, including Sequin Land, and it's up to her to find the Relic Hunters to help reorganize the planet. Story-wise, it doesn't rewrite the urgence of the lore and not as important as Pirate's Curse, but serves as a good segway between GBC and Risky's Revenge. Characters are enjoyable as always, and the antagonists are fun. In terms of art, it's a good mix of the GBC and Half Genie Hero while also incorporating Seven Siren's style in its own way. They look really nice and make good use of the pixel art in gameplay. It uses Shantae's GBA sprites as opposed to the Pirate's Curse sprites that got used not once but twice. Most music is a remix of the GBC with new ones added in. They're a blast to enjoy. As far as gameplay goes, it's solid. You get Shantae's signature hair whip and belly dance transformations. They're similar to the GBC transformations, but have more to utilize in terms of attacks and abilities, which were significantly limited in Risky's Revenge and practically non-existent in Pirate's Curse. The difficulty is also pretty good, though some parts of it can be a bit repetitive at certain points. But to be fair, they're not as overly repetitive as they could've been. Replay value is spot on as well, and arguably more well developed than most games in the series. I can only imagine how it would've been if it got released in 2005. But seeing how Shantae has garnered a bigger audience today than back in the 2000s, this game's release is well earned.
