My love for this game runs deep, to the point I'm managing to play it properly despite an annoying bug that forces your character to lightly walk backwards all the time (as far as I researched on-line, it can't be solved). Levels like the chandelier level when re-loaded will give you a black screen, but if you change your PC's screen resolution you'll fix it. Other than this, the game defends itself very well: you, as a Demonhunter with a talking Skull as a sidekick, will go through a series of horror-based levels flavoured with fluid dialogues, dark/perverted humour, a limited yet effective arsenal of weapons and strong Resident Evil 4 vibes with some film references here and there ("Evil dead", amongst these), even one sound effect was taken directly from Killer 7 (another game by Suda51 and Grasshopper). On this regard, behind this game we have various big names of the gaming industry, namely Suda51, Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil) and Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), and they delivered as expected. Be warned, you might encounter bugs that are almost unacceptable for a Remaster (constantly walking backwards is no fun, but manageable even when shooting), otherwise Shadows of the Damned stays a solid game veteran gamers will love to (re)play, while newcomers might very well start with this or with No More Heroes, if this is their first approach to a Grasshopper/Suda51 game. :)
Hearing Steve Blum speak and curse in spanish is exactly what i signed up for
Shadows of the Damned é um jogo incrível.
