Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 5.71/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

You would think that you get bored of the same 'consept' of the game. 1. There is a murder 2. Find clues 3. Ask Around 4. Solve the murder But there is so much more to the game! Not every murder is the same, some are stubbings, shootings, poisen etc. And when you can't find any more clues, you can do side jobs as well. There always seem to be something to do especially when you try to get all the Achievements. The best part is when you answer a phone that rings randomly, you get someone on the other side saying "There is a body that needs to be taken care of.. " or something like that. You have the option to hunt them down or to help them. The game consept is super fun! Super awesome game and would definitly recommend.
Shadows of Doubt is a great game, i love film noir as a whole and i love a game that makes you think for hours, this game feels like my favourite movie Blade Runner (1982) and The Maltese Falcon in one. The gameplay is fresh and unlike anything on the market imo procedurally generated murders that never feel stale or without depth thats not even mentioning the great side jobs, vandalise, tail and investigate, humiliate and arrest are all fun engaging jobs my favourite being corporate espionage. The game isnt all sunshine and rainbows it has its problems there will be jobs you have to give up on a glitch with a body not spawning or no possible leads, theres visual bugs and generation bugs and some definite performance issues but and thats a big but i think the pros astronomically outweigh the cons here, if youre a fan on film noir or classic detective/ PI tropes why not try this game because i am confident there isnt anything on steam that replicates how good this game is i only have around 150 hours playstation and pc combined and its already in my top 5 favourites. tl:dr can be very buggy but if you love the genre you really dont want to miss out on this gem

At the moment of this review, I've been stuck on the second case, right after the tutorial, for like 8 hours. I searched multiple victims houses, my evidence board is nearly full. I exhausted every lead the game gave me and I don't even know the killers name or face. I even tried thinking outside the box, the killer would call me every now and again so I had him call me and then tracked the phone line through the basement phone lines. The call came from the street, a street with no payphone. The next time I tried it, it came from "UKNOWN LOCATION". I tried everything. I even arrested every person on my board just to see if any of them were them. It was none of them. Meanwhile, I do some side missions. I get a mission where I need to find a folder and destroy it. I find it and destroy it. The game does not recognize that I destroyed it or that I even found it. I then have no choice but to abandon the mission. I do a different one, "Ask the staff for Harrison.' Okay, no building is given, so I assume it's the building I got it in, nobody has a dialogue option for the mission, so I abandon it with no leads. The other three missions went fine and were easy with no issues. On top of that I've encountered a game breaking bug where the shops will require a "password" randomly. Even if I knew it, the game does not give an option to give a password in the dialogue tree. Essentially this locks me out of using any shops for the entirety of my game save. This game also has no consequences, I would break into someone's home and then casually steal their stuff and beat them up, all the while the alarms are blaring through the entire building, the cops never coming, and then just leave. I would come back later and ask them stuff with no issue. Speaking of interrogation, I only ever had a civilian answer my questions about eight times. Most of the time they just outright refuse to give you information even when bribing them. I feel like certain dialogues should have a higher chance of working. As is, interrogation only works if you have evidence already in your pocket against them. I really want this game to be good. Its such a fun concept. I really hope the game gets better because in this current state, its just not good. This is the first negative review I've ever given because I'm just so disappointed. I want the game to be good and here's hoping it gets fixed.
If you're alright with not cranking the resolution up or having the best quality dlss it runs *alright*. Still a lot of performance issues such as loading assets. I don't know why it struggles so much with loading assets in on the fly considering that I'm running it on a ssd(not a failing one mind you!) but with my specs you can get *mostly* 60fps at 1440p with balanced dlss if you up the cap to 60fps. Which is concerning since I'm running a pretty beefy gpu and a still hardworking horse of a cpu. I really wish they'd find a way to make asset streaming even better when it comes to the player running around as that is the games most glaring issue after the regular performance. A good headscratcher of a game when you go beyond easy and sometimes makes you feel like an idiot(in a mostly good way) when you have done a thorough-ish investigation but still unable to finger out the killer. 8/10
great game, after a while it gets repetitive but the work is almost always fun and progression is good enough to feel like things are getting better for you

Shadows of Doubt, an amazingly fun game, when it works... Honestly a very one-of-a-kind detective game with its amazingly detailed 3-d pixel art style. However, the game suffers horribly from it's rare patches and updates that leave the game in a state of limbo on whether its going to run good one day or crash constantly the next. Shadows of Doubt has SO much potential to be an astounding game, but seems to have really fallen between the cracks. I still 100% recommend this game to people, but I do warn that it is VERY poorly optimized. I hope that updates focused on optimization and QoL are the main focus going forward and become more common, because I genuinely love the atmosphere of this game, I just find that getting it to load and play consistently is difficult. TL;DR: Game is AMAZING, but mostly runs like poop
gud like hobo batman.
Really fun and truly "unlimited" detective experience. However, even so long after launch there are gamebreaking bugs.
