The unique cyberpunk-meets-fantasy world of Shadowrun has gained a huge cult following since its creation nearly 25 years ago. Now, creator Jordan Weisman returns to the world of Shadowrun, modernizing this classic game setting as a single player, turn-based tactical RPG.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Jeu très court et très linéaire. Bonne ambiance.
Game is very fun and a really well rounded turn based RPG. Story is great, love the lore. --- The really BAD thing about it is that the RNG is completely rigged. There is no way on earth I miss by chance twice at 90% like 5 times throughout the campaign. The chances for that to happen is simply to small to be a coincidence. ALSO a big big big MINUS is that during your turn, sometimes enemies enter the map. It's unfair as the enemy units get an extra turn on YOUR turn. Happens only towards the end of the game but it definitely is unfair as hell. Overall play it but don't be surprised if the game screws you over on those 95% misses and enemy moving while it's your turn.

Really satisfies the need for a good dystopian setting. good variety of quests, very compelling main story, and things can and do go off the rails in great ways. plus, if you know your Shadowrun lore, there's a great nod to the SNES game from 1995
A barebones, but enjoyable conversion of the Shadowrun tabletop system into PC gaming. The story is interesting although quite short, but the game serves as a good springboard as it dovetails nicely into Shadowrun: Hong Kong, and my personal favorite, Shadowrun: Dragonfall. I'd get this game again, mainly for the sake of the main story, but there's potentially endless content included with the Steam workshop available for this game.
gamebreaking bug about 2 hours into the game, not worth it
So I played through this several times over the years and I think I owe it a review. In short, Shadowrun Returns is pretty good. It's not perfect but you'll get a lot for the asking price. I don't get people complaining about it being too short, I think the length feels just right. The overall presentation, quality of writing and core gameplay are all great. Yes, there are issues like the clunky GUI and at least one horribly bugged quest (the first one to the Universal Brotherhood, Idk maybe don't bring a decker along and don't fight the turrets on the ground level?). Anyway, this game is a really good start to the franchise and the second game, Dragonfall, is even better in every way. I recommend to start here though, it's worth it.
Great Game a real classic
