The unique cyberpunk-meets-fantasy world of Shadowrun has gained a huge cult following since its creation nearly 25 years ago. Now, creator Jordan Weisman returns to the world of Shadowrun, modernizing this classic game setting as a single player, turn-based tactical RPG.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Good starting point, though nowadays it's better to run Dead Man Switch - Vox Populi mod for Shadowrun: Hong Kong, which brings this campaign to the more advanced version of Shadowrun Engine.
Only game were 99% you miss 3 shots in a row and get hit with a critical on a 5% chance hit, but devs never bothered to fix.

idk man i played through it a bit and ♥♥♥♥. great game. looks good. characters are fine. i mean its just a good game but maybe because its older and lower budget it just didnt feel as open world as i wanted it to be. i mean i bet it isnt intended to be an open world game. i felt like my options were basically non existent. like you just kind of play through the story. story-mode game type ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. idk. i think about this alot i want to play it but i felt a lack of customization. maybe im wrong idk
The heart say Shadowrun Return The brain say XCOM2 This game is like adopting a child made by Lord of the rings and Blade Runner but in Germany. Beginning: You just need money to buy weeb stuff and survive Continuation: You find yourself in an international plot about the planet control Ending: Cool
The year was 2013, Indie games were still kind of a novelty on Steam and this little isometric, turn based, cyberpunk slash fantasy inspired RPG turned a few heads, after getting funded via kickstarter. 12 years later here I am reviewing it, and it's actually an entertaining game. And one can tell it's a passion project with the objective to revive an old franchise (wich I know nothing about, to be honest). The story is good despite a lot of reading being involved to actually "get it". The combat is simple but fun, the art style is cool. My biggest criticism is that, in what customizing is concerned, they tried to do too many things and ended up all over the place. Sure it provides replayability value, but to me personally, it's not gonna be a game I will replay. I was a good time, without being incredible, all things considered.
Great Game! Old Fans and New Players will love this game. Great stories and mechanics
Quite good for its age. The hand-drawn graphics are simply gorgeous and timeless. The combat mechanics can be a bit clunky, but not unbearably so. The writing is mwaaah *chef's kiss*.
Love the Shadowrun series with their story and gameplay.
It was a bit of a short game, but a good one nonetheless. The isometric camera does get a little aggravating at times, and the clicking not triggering what I wanted it to also frustrated occasionally, but overall nothing terribly egregious.
Finally got around to starting this series and my god I'm kicking myself for not playing it earlier on lol. This genre is quickly becoming my favorite and I can't wait to play the next two Shadowrun games. If you enjoy turn based combat/movement with a variety of skills to choose from, this game would be right up your alley. There is no voiced dialogue and it is all text so keep that in mind but at the same time I enjoyed the writing here. Game doesn't over stay its welcome and keeps it pretty straight to the point with the story. Not really much of any side quests to go on so you could probably beat this in a single session if you really wanted to. Highly recommend trying this game out if you're into tactical rpg's and enjoy a cyberpunk setting. 100 Backlog Games of 2025: 31/100
