We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 21: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
TL;DR: It's a great game as long as you don't mind the play style compared to the previous games
The play style was nothing like the previous games, however overall I somewhat enjoyed it. It seems to lean more towards the "Doom-esque" side, but they did it well. Even with the SFX and gore kills closely resembling Doom. Fighting was pretty straight forward too, with a lot of enemies being different so that you'd need different methods to kill them. While variety in weapons is nice, ammo gain was a bit confusing at first and even upgrades felt clunky, or entirely useless. As for the story, I have some gripes. Overall, the story feels very linear. Going from place to place, only to be interrupted by fighting several times before the next bit of story. Yes, I do mean "several" times. typically 2-4 entire arenas with just some dialogue (which even gets harshly cut off if you traverse too quickly) in between them. While it was alright and decently length, it seemed very rushed and gave lackluster explanations to a lot of things. I even felt like you obtain all of the weapons WAY too fast. (I'll get to the rest within the spoilers segment) I'd also like to quickly mention that the 'Bunny Lord' in this game is pretty useless, however a welcoming easter egg and nod to the previous games. Lo Wang as a character has always been that quick witted, smarta**, gung ho type of guy. In this game, he seemed to be portrayed as a complete joke. Jokes felt forced, animations felt rushed and sloppy and...well I can't say I was a fan of the new voice actor. While I understand it to a degree in the sense of the storyline, it just didn't feel like the Lo Wang that we've played and heard from the previous games...at all.

SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

To be completely blunt, I would much rather play the first or second game. The 'sword fighting' style of the games are gone in this one, which I was extremely disappointed about. This is all 'bullet hell', rather than 'slash and dash'. I mentioned that you also gain the weapons too fast, but this kind of play style doesn't suit the ammo required to kill some of the enemies. I'd find myself running out of gore kills and ammo on a couple weapons before I took down a couple of the bigger guys. If you've played the game (hopefully you have at this point), bringing Hoji back just felt like a mistake. It was cool to hear his voice again, but he seemed...different. Talked to Lo Wang differently, consistently went back and forth with Wang (and Wang to him) about being 'best buddies'...but they were NEVER like that in the first game, where Hoji originated. They became friends towards the end, sure, but not to this extent. Not to mention that he was only even mentioned a couple times within the second game, and now all of a sudden he's a key character in the story here. Again I'll mention that I understand the 'apocalyptic' vibe that it's going for, but Zilla just seemed stupid. However he wasn't too far off from the second game, as Wang was talked to similarly comparatively.
It is OK. I can see the love of the team coming through. Sadly it is a big buggy and imo the writing is not as good as in the previous games. Weapons, animations (specifically death animations and ''glory kills'') and the game-feel are very nice, If you like Shadow Warrior or Doom (2016 and or Eternal) I think you will not regret getting this when discounted.
