10 times less polishing than windrose but 10 TIMES MORE CONTENT THAN WINDROSE. far more chaotic fun than windrose. you will get bored quickly in windrose. you never get bored in IFSUNSETS. it's just chaotic unblanced fun. Fun comes from so much to do in absurdly complex way. so many items to make, so many areas to discover.
Wow, lots going on in this game! Unfortunately this is a hidden gem so trying to research this game leaves you wondering what it really is. Lots are missing out on the potential here. Open world/ open ocean/underwater! Massive skill tree. Lots of loot. Lots of enemy variety. Different biomes. Naval combat. Survival crafting, horde defense. Did I mention you can build a water slide at your base? That doesn't even scratch the surface. Game needs lots of patching up to do but definitely worth the price in this current state. I bought an extra copy for a friend since I've been enjoying it so much!
Starts rough, but gets better. --52 Hours just finished all the main quest that are in EA. It was worth the price. Very responsive devs. Happy to support them. TL/DR: I wish this game and Windrose would be combined. So far, I love so many of the systems of this game, compared to Windrose. If you can get past the first 1-2 hours, its a really enjoyable game once you progress a little bit and aren't always focused on food/water. I would recommend this game and I am happy I picked it up.
Pros :

Base Management: Being Able to Pack your base back into a placeable Item..... Freaking Wonderful.
Combat: Feels better than Windrose, Boss fights are fun.
Gear: Tons of gear, multiple upgrades/quality. Like seriously, maybe too many. Gear has a glamour system, so you can wear whatever you want and still look fresh doing it.
Fairy (Once leveled): Is great, the zip line to pull you or a mob is awesome.
Mechanics: Has all the basic survival game systems (Fishing, Farming, Animals, Building) - With Nighttime Tower Defense.
Climbing: A little wonky, but works.
Swimming: Make sure to get GillWeed!
Inventory Management: Slot based, not weight. Build from chest (Limited to 1) as far as I know. Comes after you make some progress, part of the rough start. Fast Travel: Build Beds, anywhere also has alters! Wonderful, like seriously moving bases is super easy. Love it, more games should adopt the Packing feature as well.

Neutral :

Graphics: World looks great, but textures are all over the place even on max settings.
World: Empty in places, but the devs did put things to find in almost every part of the map. So that is nice, but could use more mobs/gatherables.
Gathering: Not everything can be picked up/cut down.
Game Play Tips They appear for a short time, then are gone as far as I can tell. Couldn't figure out how to get rid of some status for quite a while.
Building: You can build anywhere (Nice!) but Snaping is rough, and doesn't really explain why something can't be placed. Floors only can be raised so high, Keybinding for building and having to use control to cycle just feels off. Just not as polished as other games.
Story: Seems a bit disconnected, but the main story with bosses is good so far.

Cons:

Food/Water: A little to quick, especially in the first few hours.
Blue Soldiers: Seem to be dropping to many books for mastery.
Random Loot Drops: Got a wep, that is way more powerful than anything else from the first boss. haven't been able to replace, basically one shots everything up to level 50 mobs.
I got this game in a sale and genuinely it has one of the smoothest challenge settings I've ever experienced. I'm playing on easy and It's just challenging enough, as in I'm not pulling my hair out trying to win but I feel good after beating an enemy. I was looking for something for some causal fun and this has been beyond addictive. One thing I'd love to see the developers add is legendary enemies into the horde that the horde gets bigger based on things you've killed. Like they don't go to the grave, they hunt you. Would recommend, I can't wait for my shift to end to go play again haha
- This game is easily one of the most enjoyable survival games I've played. Just broke 100+ hours played and I don't think I was bored a single moment like I was in other survival games on the genre. -There is so much content and so much to do and they keep adding more. I would recommend this game over just about any other in the genre. -The level system is very rewarding, you can build as precise or diverse as you like and really make a character perfect for your play style -The crafting and base building AND now ship building is super fun, between planting crops, building traps, taking care of the animals, exploring, Every one of my friends I played this with had something to do they found enjoyable and it all meshed well together to create a strong community. (The downside is currently servers are limited to 4 people, so sometimes we all couldn't play together which I'll admit was a huge disappointment) - There are bugs, 100% won't deny it, combat can get janky and monsters AI isn't the best. But it's gotten better with patches and seem to keep getting better over time. - My biggest gripe is needing to have an Epic login. Epic is trash, no one likes that garbage and honestly I was tempted to not even try this game because of it. - TLDR: Fix some bugs, Allow more than 4 players per server, remove Epic login, and this game will easily be a 10/10
A bit buggy, but well worth the price of admission at current state. I enjoyed this more than Valheim, which I found too grindy and visually bland. Combat is actually enjoyable and game gives you a lot of options on how you kill things. You can unlock merchant NPCs that sell useful items or materials and also buy stuff from you. Having map fast travel without being locked behind tech/consumables is also a plus, so I can actually spend more time building or fighting. You also get a cute fairy sidekick who gives you Spiderman web swinging powers and lets you double jump on her 11/10.
MP - its fantastic - only gripe to the developers... my buddy went exploring, he's found fast travels and other unlocks which aren't available to me! I'll have to go exploring to get the same points! However, despite all the feedback, its very fluid. Friend in a party sharing 50%xp we're rocking! Games fantastic, plenny of scope and I scrolled out... the map its frigging huge! Bought this on sale for £11... its absolutely worth it! Probs worth more tbh!
Unable to do boss fights in multipalyer, the night scales too quickly, and kill xp isnt shared. Very grindy and time consuming,
это самая крутая ИГРААААААААААААААААААА!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While this game has some minor glitches there is nothing game breaking and it has a very fun survival loop if that is your thing.
