A simple endless runner with a ninja theme. It does what it sets out to do and it's super cheap. If you don't mind a basic runner to kill some time with this game might be perfect for you.
Simple 2D platformer where you run and avoid obstacles ✅Requires reflexes and timing ❌Repetitive, meaning it's always the same: run and avoid obstacles ❌No new mechanics. New levels dont introduce any new mechanics ❌Jumps don't always work as expected ❌The game isn't worth the price ❌Poor obstacle clarity (dark background, barely visible traps) ❌❌ Verdict: Terrible , [strike] Bad [/strike], [strike] Mediocre [/strike], [strike] Decent [/strike], [strike] Good [/strike] , [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for short games, retro indie simulator games and similar)
If you'd like to see more of my reviews, you can find them on my curator page:CuratorKingViking and on my group: GroupKingViking If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask.I'm happy to answer them. Finally finished the game (took me 1.1 hours, before that l used idle app for trading cards). It's cheap, simple and entertaining. Totally worth to play https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2800724351
Говорят сам Томас Эдисон тренировал свою усидчивость в этой игре, потому что придумать что-то более однообразное невозможно в принципе.
Yes.
Warning: Asset Flip!
Shadow Ninja: Apocalypse is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" ripped off an endless runner template for BuildBox Game Maker, dumped some garbage assets on it, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. It's important to also note the "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. No surprises given their frankly criminal history. Boogygames Studios have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Hidden Object - Food" = Hidden Object Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"Weapon and Armor: Mahjong" = Mahjong Game Engine developed by SmallBigSquare
"Loot Collection: Mahjong" = Mahjong Game Engine developed by SmallBigSquare
"Food Mahjong" = Mahjong Game Engine developed by SmallBigSquare
"Color By Number - Pixel Draw" = Pixel Art: Color By Number developed by Moana Studio
"Pixel Art Monster - Color By Number" = Pixel Art: Color By Number developed by Moana Studio
"Rainbow Duck" = Switch The Gravity developed by App Advisory
"Case Simulator Weapons and Armors" = Yet Another Case Opener developed by NeraQuam
"MahJong - Medieval Fantasy" = Mahjong Game Engine developed by SmallBigSquare
"Solitaire - Cat Pirate Portrait" = Klondike Solitaire Complete Game Tutorial developed by University of Games
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The implementation here is of such poor quality, the developer couldn't work out how to make the game display in fullscreen, it only runs in a window. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the BuildBox game construction kit - the "No-Code" construction kit that "Anyone can make games with!!". Including, you know, people who aren't game developers. Which is a problem. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers because it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's arguably worse than GameMaker Studio). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. Shadow Ninja: Apocalypse is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
