About
Shadow Mansion is a narrative-driven, first-person horror and investigation game that prioritizes psychological dread and active deduction over simple jump scares. You don’t merely survive the mansion you must uncover the dark truth it has buried for decades.
Your journey begins with a mysterious letter that summons you to an abandoned family estate. To make it out alive, you must take on the role of a supernatural investigator, following a trail of fragmented clues to piece together a tragic family secret that was never meant to be revealed.
🔍 Deep Environmental Investigation
Search every corner of the mansion to uncover hidden notes, listen to long-forgotten tapes, and examine subtle environmental clues. Progress depends not on collecting items alone, but on understanding what they truly mean.
🧩 Deductive Puzzle Solving
Progression is locked behind layered mysteries. You must gather scattered information fuses, ritual artifacts, cryptic keys and connect the dots to access the mansion’s most forbidden areas.
📓 A True Detective Mindset
Track your discoveries and reconstruct the dark pacts made by your family. You are not a passive observer you are the central investigator of a complex, multi-layered case.
🗝️ Stealth & Observation-Based Survival
You are not alone. A demonic presence and its followers stalk the mansion. Survival depends on careful observation, pattern recognition, and understanding the hidden logic behind the hauntings.
🕯️ Relentless Atmospheric Tension
Navigate pitch-dark corridors, restore failing systems, and manage your limited tools. Every flickering light carries meaning, and every silence may be a warning.
❓ Is this a true detective experience?
Yes. While Shadow Mansion is rooted in horror, its core gameplay loop revolves around investigation, deduction, and discovery. To reach the ending, you must actively solve the case of your family’s past.
❓ How long is the investigation?
A focused playthrough lasts approximately 2–3 hours. However, players who seek every hidden secret, optional puzzle, and piece of lore will uncover a significantly deeper experience.

Heyo, So, got the game free on Lurkit. I enjoyed the game, but I love it like someone who enjoys a bad corny movie or buggy game kind of way. (Good example: I LOVE Two Worlds, but the game is a buggy mess.) I, however, want to be constructive since this is a new indie game company. The intro drive to the shadow mansion is a little long, and I tried to be funny and turn the car around and leave. (Maybe a fun idea for a secret achievement?) Hit an invisible wall. I then went through the game and found the ramp entering the house TOO obvious. you may want to learn how to lead the players and make them feel satisfied in figuring things out. It's why people meme on yellow paint and arrows (another gripe about the game, seeing as you have BIG RED ARROWS leading to the destination. Head Bob was a big issue for me needs the ability to turn it off. I had to turn my Elgato lights off for the stream because the clashing of my lights and trying to focus on the flashlight in the dark was messing with me, so maybe a setting to fix that.... Adjusting the setting caused delays. After, let's say, the first quarter of the game, when do you land in the guest house? I thought, "Let's go home; we are outside," but found that even though my car lights are on, I can't leave (obviously because you have to finish the game), but it would be fun to have a secret ending. There was Zero pressure of dying, mostly cheap jump scares and loud noises, so add cultist or crazy homeless people anything at all too add pressure when searching for clues or navigating around the mansion. There were tidbits i noticed where the developer tried to be funny, and I appreciated that (don't guess what's behind this door note prank). All in all,.....a decent short game for the price, but it could go a long way in working. OHHHH almost forgot but twitch chat is watching write this and they mentioned the part where I fell through the map because I decided to go back to the basement instead of going to the top floor. That was a little immersive breaking. TLDR: 1. Learn to lead the player; don't make it obvious 2. Voice Acting needs some work (sounded deadpan and boring) 3. Less walking simulator, more spoopy 4. Add pressure on the player in navigation 5. Focus on Malevolent Madness. In my opinion, between the two, it is your stronger product. 6. Future games make the plot less....Cliche?
Was Gifted this game on Lurkit. Does the game have hiccups? yes Does the game have good jump scares? Yes Does the Dev have passion for horror games? Absolutely I believe this game is the Devs first game and in all honesty It's really not that bad. A little context about myself, I am a Vtuber who's main niche is horror games, and I can tell by the way the Devs write about their games that they have great passion for the horror Genre. This by no means is a triple A polished game, but playing games from this studio has really caused me to fall in love with indie games. I was normally a type of person that only liked triple A game titles that had a lot of money and huge teams that made the game. But I have really been enjoying this studios games, and each one they make gets better and better. The game is like 5 bucks and made by a small crew, considering that the game is pretty darn good. This studio really has a passion for horror games and I can tell it with each game they make. All in all I really enjoyed the game. It was pretty fun.
Good game i can say. But i think its too dark in the start and one more the settings dosent save. Overall a good game i can say. :)
Buy it if you love old school horror genre like me. Not a bad 2 hours to spend.
Great jumpscares! Had lots of fun playing this! The ambience was set from the moment I got to the mansion. Though I died before I could finish all the way through I really enjoyed this and the story it told with the environment. I look forward to trying the other horror games that Nebula Nova has to offer!
