Another amazing game! Please do a Roman campaign in the future.
I have been longing for years for a game that would recreate my first player's pleasure with the famous AH 1776 game... well, they have done it, and even with more content I could dream of. The game is a great successor to the older Ageod titles, with more finesse, content, impprovement and a much nicer look. A real gem. And I trust the team to keep on improving on it!
i can recommend We the People with one significant caveat. I am a fan of AGEOD and and the original BoA series. In fact i was a researcher on BoA2 and later games. i was looking forward to seeing if this was a worthy successor to BoA. In the main, it is. The map, the units and the mechanics have the familiar feel and are a pleasure. The new features such as the naval operations are well done and fun, The problem is the supply and loyalty rules. These must be a later patch, because the other commentators do not mention them. Basically, your units must a string of loyal provinces linking it back to a depot. This is not explained anywhere. However, the player can soon figure it out. The problem is that the game AI does not understand the supply rules. In my game, time and time again, the British AI aggressively attacks into situations that leave its powerful forces unsupplied. Any retreat and the force is destroyed. I am approaching the end of 1777, in the 1775 scenario, and the game is all but over. The British forces commanded by Howe, Cornwallis and Clinton have all suicided themselves. If you are looking for a game that is beautiful to behold and works smoothly, but is not a challenge, then this is a game for you. However, this game could be a real challenge for the player with some work on the AI. One amusing footnote. I played the card for the Turtle, an early submarine. The Turtle sank a British warship. On board the ship was General Howe, who perished. Talk about bad luck.
Great foundation and artwork but the AI -on which most interaction in SGS games hinges on- is anything but a piece of masterful art. It's subpar at best and pretty terrible at worst. Anyone with some experience with strategy games will easily beat the AI without much sweat.
So far I like what I see!
Buggy, clunky, and unfinished game with an AI that is passive and clueless. The card system is broken with many cards not working. Movement is clunky and frustrating. Hard to tell if the unit is going to move or just stay still. The game manual is worthless and seems to be written for SGS games in general. The game does have nice looking graphics if you can get past the inconsistent gameplay. This game isn't even in early access, apparently never playtested as the developer is constantly trying to explain away the poor condition of the game. Avoid this purchase at all costs!

Cool :)
