I like everything! I miss this Nostalgia genre of the game!
Seriously? Stop reading this and just blast away!
I can't tell you about the logistics of these remasters and what is for sure better or not, I've heard valid critiques before. The one main reason I recommend this though, besides the fact I love having all the Serious Sam games in one place; is that I don't get motion sick at all here ! Serious Sam 3 specifically, I couldn't go 30 minutes without having to eat a piece of bread no matter what I changed in the settings. Here, with very little setting tinkering, I was able to get more than 5 levels in. For me, it was a lifesaver. One thing of note though, before launching this game- you should check your microphone volume. Across 2 PC's, multiple mics, and over years, this game has boosted my mic up to 100% every time I open it. I thought they'd of fixed that by now, since the game is actually purchasable .. But no. It's really annoying and I hope they fix that in the future, it's literally my go-to way to play these games if not for that.
I gave this a positive rating due to nostalgia from playing this when I was a teenager, many decades ago. Compared to modern games this game feels like someone's AI-coded side project. Its not buggy or anything it just has no depth to it, you just load up crazy powerful and cartoonishly violent weapons and blast away at massive hordes upon hordes of goofy wacky hyperviolent baddies. Its just over the top carnage and was fun in its prime, but I cant imagine modern gamers actually enjoying this. Buy it on sale for like $5 for some old school vibes, or just watch a YT video of some of the latter gameplay to see if its your style.

Serious Sam games are one of those games that look like a normal FPS on Steam, but after about five minutes it turns into a full chaos simulator where everything that moves is your problem. The optimization is surprisingly good. You can have so many enemies, explosions, and flying bits of everything on screen that most games would already give up, but this one just keeps running smoothly like nothing is happening. The weapons are a whole different level. The Shotgun turns anything too confident into a close-range mess faster than it can react. The Minigun is basically a walking blender, once you start firing, every ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in front of you just disappears. The Rocket Launcher is the classic solution for a good show, when in doubt, just blow a few ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with it up. And the Cannon is pure overkill, if something is still standing after a shot, its prob. in your imagination, nothing stands a chance against a cannon idiot... It is a classic boomer shooter, just pushed to the extreme. No cover camping, no hiding to regenerate health, just constant movement, dodging kleers, and wiping out entire waves of these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ without stopping. The best part is that it is all on Steam, like it is just a regular game and not stress relief disguised as an FPS. And one important thing, this is one of the best versions to play the **Serious Sam trilogy**, especially if you want all three main games in one clean and convenient package. Just launch Fusion and everything is there, no hassle, just pure chaos. In short, if you want a game that turns your brain off and replaces it with nonstop action, **Serious Sam Fusion 2017** does exactly that. and there's a "Blondie" reference in tse, very fun game 10/10 would kill some aliens again
