kinda janky on modern hardware unless you mod the game or play in 640x480p (which worked for me). overall good game and I'd recommend if you like boomer shooters. 7.5/10

Serious Sam The First Encounter is an absolute FPS masterpiece and one of my all time favorite first person shooters, right alongside Doom. I’ve played both the HD remake and the original classic version, but I always come back to the classic because the gameplay, atmosphere, and overall feel are simply unmatched. The classic version has a unique charm that the HD remake couldn’t fully capture. Some gameplay elements, enemy behavior, and the old school atmosphere feel different, and for me, they’re what make the original so special. Every level throws massive hordes of enemies at you, forcing you to keep moving, manage your weapons, and think fast. Even on Normal difficulty, the game is surprisingly challenging, but that’s exactly what makes it so addictive and rewarding. Every victory feels earned, and the fast paced combat never gets old. If you love old school FPS games like Doom and Duke Nukem, or if you grew up during the golden age of classic shooters like I did, then Serious Sam The First Encounter is a game you absolutely need to experience. It’s a timeless masterpiece that proves great gameplay never gets old. 9/10

В ЭТО очень больно играть, левел дизайн-плох, расположения врагов-ужас, награда за секреты лишь один кнут, дизайн локаций-прямой коридор иногда с кишкой. Конечно как обычно придут оправдания по типу: НоО игла УжЕ оЧен стАраЯяЯ ей АЖжЖ 25 лЕт. Тогда вопрос! Если игра устарела, то почему теперь у нею нет очевидных минусов, как по мне самая лучшая проверка-это время !И! первый Сэм её абсолютно не прошел, что показывает НИЧЕГО революционного данная игра не предложила.
