Seedrun

It was alright, but not really fun, unfortunately. I did "complete" it with 80% after which game just automatically closes. Being practically unable to reach full automation in this game is a bit frustrating, seedling guys can only cover a tiny region and expire fairly quickly, as well as the random drops for seeds themselves are just unpredictable and gives you random seeds, not all of which will result in optimal group of little guys to automatically handle the region. Having to always always always run around side to side is quite annoying and becomes a bit of an eye strain over time. And the map is rather large to be able to handle all of it in a reasonable way. Guys on the other side of the map might rot a bit or entirely, or overgrow with weeds, etc. You always need an optimal group of little guys to handle any particular region, but they can only do so temporarily, as they will rot and die. Size of the map is also annoying because you practically don't stop moving and the screen always slides side to side. I think this idea of regions would work better as a 2D topdown view where you unlock bits of the map over a single screen that doesnt shift much or at all. And you could keep constant track of every place and seedling too! And probably would cause less headache from the sliding screen. I might've went into this expecting something different but it's much more of a time management chore game than an automation idler of any kind.

Very cool and cozy. The characters are super cute, the music and ambiance are great, the game loop is simple and enjoyable. I do wish there were a way to better manage all the things going on. It gets a bit chaotic at some point and I let lots of plants die. Maybe zooming out to see the whole map or something like that.

Seedrun has some goods and some bads. First of you won't probably by very happy to optimize things here as you will never achieve full automation. Which is okay if you take it for what it is. It's a small scoped game to occupy you with a LOT to keep track of. You will constantly be running around and doing things to keep you busy and full of tasks. It's also a nice game to play if you want to listen to a podcast or video essay. I miss a few upgrades that would make the game play more smoothly like longer plant life or longer perfect harvest time as it's a bit counter intuitive to upgrade the time a seed takes to grow since you will usually be elsewhere doing other stuff and miss out on perfect harvests. But if you take it for what it is you will enjoy your time with a nice soundtrack and cute art.

Such a calming, satisfying and cozy farming game with much love for details! The music sounds great and the small little helpers are also cute and charming. 100% can recommend!

Fun game, very stressful and my hand hurts from running nonstop. It took me 3 hours to complete so go give it a try :)

Having only played this game for 2.1 hours and not having beaten the game, I think it's pretty cool. If I were the developer though, I would add screen shake to when I pick up plants. And the plants don't really help very much when I don't sell them, so I end up selling them immediately. Also, motion sickness is a slight problem. It's a vibey game, worth $5, maybe not. $3? Definitely. Would recommend if you wanna feel rewarded quickly.

I like how this is not an automation game. You always have something to do, and you never stand around bored. The completionist in me has also driven me to an alternative ending, which was really nice. I love this game. I had a lot of fun. <3
