IF YOU LIKE VIDEO GAMEs, THIS IS THE MOST VIDEO GAME OF ALL TIME.
For basically a 2$ game, this is a helluva nice shooter! It takes a bit of going under the ? to figure out what everything does, as it's got a heck of a steep learning curve, but when you do get it, it's like, 'ah' and you realize that 90% of the parts you get are also trash. The 'Story' ramps up hard, and fast, so you need to grind to get your ship up to snuff before proceeding sometimes. As well, you can basically choose your own difficulty by the modifiers on each mission (non story) so that is always good as well if you're underpowered and just doing a grind or farming.
Long and boring overall. Consider trying the demo before buying if it's only a few levels then just play them again and again for like 2-3 hours. If you're still feeling fun or any emotions then you can buy it, else don't. It's not hard, there are some good ideas but well, it's just repeating the very same level without really changing anything nor feeling strong. If you make a mistake, you can die but at the same time if you made a mistake it probably means you were AFK.

I got this for like $1 so it's really hard to be upset, but the game is really frustrating, has no tutorial to speak of, does not explain the surprisingly deep shipbuilding mechanics, and there is one region boss that is really ticking me off because it's just so cheap and I can't figure out how to beat it. The game is fun, but it's not very accessible.
Nice dev, good game
ótimo jogo pra se passar um tempo
Sector Six 2 when?
Pretty good looter shooter for the price, although with some caveats. Completed the base game, didn't mess with endgame. Game gets a bit better after the first few levels. Missions form of going left to right with your ship destroying the other ships, regardless of the mission type selected. The experience can be customised by applying modifiers like more enemy hp, enemy damage, enemies release swarmers upon death, you lose all ship parts if you die (DO NOT do this), double mission length etc. These increase loot drop rates but don't seem to be necessary if you just want an easy experience. Through natural progression, you'd end up increasing some of these overtime, normally. Ship customisation is cool and ship shape defines your hitbox. Hitbox becoming bigger every time you level up and apply a new part. You can choose where the new parts go, but realistically you want a strictly horizontal cube-ish ship to avoid most attacks which limits your ship aesthetics, since not all attacks can be blocked with a shield. Though, a real endgame ship MIGHT be able to tank everything. Progression felt weird because I got lucky(?) early and found a relic (legendary) that boosted by xp by 100% which I never took off despite the other stats of it dropping off later, because it was the only thing I found that did this effect. This meant that I skipped almost half the available mission areas because my level kept skyrocketing. Unsure if the drop was guaranteed or luck-based. + Several different looking ship parts for aesthetics + Lots of abilities to mess with (though sticking to basics works) + Enemy variety is pretty good + OST fits theme nicely + Cheap price * Story sets the theme of the game but doesn't particularly deliver * You can pretty easily manipulate long ability cooldowns by waiting them out before moving further to the right, for better or for worse - Some sections, particularly bosses, have little or no tell to some attacks, which can and will delete you from full HP if you don't know it's coming (with the assumption that you are keeping enemy dmg modifier up with your current armor). Same bosses can also have off-putting instakill mechanics like "you backed off too far from the boss" without it really being apparent - Against bosses your build will likely struggle, without having specific abilities that provide you with game's equivalent of "mana", to be able to use any other abilities during them - Even with the 100% xp boost I had, game overstays it's welcome I felt, since while the enemy variety is good, it doesn't hold up too well after you are 5h+ in when all you do is go left to right with little other obstacles - At times unclear how to progress with main story missions Endgame appears to form around finding every relic (legendary), leveling to max, clearing every single sector etc. which is certainly a lot of (repetitive) content, but I'm not sure I have it in me to keep playing more. But I got my money's worth and I had some good times making the right side of the screen nothing but my bullets.
Very cool
Repetitive but I liked it.
