Secrets of Salem: Shadow of the Witch Collector's Edition

Ну, Secrets of Salem: Shadow of the Witch Collector's Edition, это всё та же игра от студии, делающая большие сюжетные сборники головоломок с мини-играми на поиск предметов. Сюжет тут с ходу преподносит приятный поворот с, казалось бы, удачными и неожиданными игровыми ограничениями, однако, почти сразу, забывает об этом. И игра идёт обычным ходом: мы ходим по локациям; ищем предметы; применяем их в нужных местах; решаем разнообразные головоломки; изредка напарываемся на мини-игр на поиск предметов. Также в игре, как обычно, присутствует дополнение, купив которое можно оказаться в дополнительных локациях, решить дополнительные загадки и набрать очки на лучшую, из трёх доступных, концовку. В отличии от предыдущие игры, тут никак не намекается, что требуется купленное дополнение. Но и персонажи довольно нейтрально реагируют в диалогах, если дополнения нет у игрока. Головоломки кочуют из игры в игру, меняя внешний вид. В любой момент решение головоломки можно пропустить, примерно в половине случаев игра покажет правильное решение. Что же касается мини-игр на поиск предметов, тут тоже всё, как обычно. Места для таких игр не очень часто встречаются, и частенько их надо проходить дважды, но с различными игровыми условиями. Опять-таки, если проходить поиск предметов нет желания, можно сыграть в 3-в-ряд. И снова в игре присутствуют три вида коллекционных предметов. Два – для красоты (и достижений), третий – своеобразная валюта, за счёт которой можно обустроить комнату в главном меню (ну и получить две ачивки). Поначалу мне очень понравилась озвучка персонажей, особенно главной героини. Но потом ей слов не давали, а остальные немного и изредка переигрывали. Музыка тоже неплоха, но не запомнилась. В целом, Secrets of Salem: Shadow of the Witch Collector's Edition предлагает игрокам кучу головоломок. Но лично меня разочаровал отказ от сюжетного поворота, который сами создатели и предложили. Set in the 1950s, this is the story of Dakota, a young daughter of a witch. One day, she receives a strange letter informing her of her mother's death. She immediately travels to Salem, a city once known for its witches, but whose modern appearance still conceals a mysterious and dark magic. But upon her arrival, she is not welcomed; an evil spirit attacks her, causing a serious wound. Fortunately, she doesn't die, but ends up in a coma, trapped between life and the realm of the dead. Sebille, a friend of her mother's, comes to her aid, along with the coven of witches, who will guide her to use the powers hidden within her. While her body lies helpless in the hospital, as a ghost, Dakota will learn to use her magical powers, prepare dark rituals, and travel to haunted houses, abandoned asylums, and cursed cemeteries in search of the killer. A difficult task lies on her shoulders because in addition to finding her killer, she will have to save the witches' coven and return to life in her body, before it's too late! I really enjoyed this hidden object adventure, with lots of enchanted collectibles, a bonus chapter, extras, backgrounds, and concept art. Minigames, puzzles, and repeatable object-searching scenes. Hints, autosave, and a comprehensive walkthrough to consult if you get stuck. And plenty of mystery in the plot. The graphics and storyline are brilliant!! We need more like this please!! I enjoyed the gameplay, however, I ran into one big frustration: when you don’t have enough stars to access the extra levels, there’s no clear message explaining that you need to purchase the DLC. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. After contacting support several times, I finally learned it was because the extra levels require the DLC. By the time I purchased it, I had already reached the end of the game and couldn’t return to those stages. Now, I have to restart the game from the very beginning just to make the DLC worth it. For anyone planning to buy, make sure you also get the DLC/Deluxe version right away!! One other issue is the constant background loop sounds, it become repetitive and annoying fast. I eventually had to disable all game sounds just to keep playing. The ending felt a little rushed, but otherwise overall, this game was epic! Thank you! :-)

I love these games for when you feel low energy, they have a nice nostalgic feel
