Excellent Co-Op experience. Overall I highly recommend picking this up if you're looking for a fun, pick up and play, clear end goal focused RPG co-op experience to play with some friends (you can play with up to 4 players). There are two game modes to explore: the Story mode and Arcade mode. The Story mode is a traditional RPG story of exploring new areas and conquering enemies, puzzles, and layered boss battles to save the land. The Arcade mode is a rouge-like mode where you conquer what are essentially dungeon floors based on the areas seen in the story. Both are well paced and full of content if you're looking for a bit more of a clear objective focused co-op (or even single player) experience. It is also very easy to pick up and play even if taking a break for an extended time. The combat is simple but effective. It harkens to the top down Legend of Zelda games, but has a perfect guard system and spells/abilities to use in combat. All the spells can be upgraded and there are plenty of options to explore for unique synergies or just focusing on one skill. There are a few negatives on this game, nothing that truly killed the enjoyment but were a bit annoying: - The control scheme could have been a bit better considering other games in the genre. Rather than having the sword and shield only be mappable to face buttons and required to be on the first/standard skill bar, I think it would have been better to have two of the shoulder buttons dedicated to them (or at least the option to do so) so that you could put four abilities/spells on the first/standard skill bar. - There are few instances in both the Story and Arcade mode that have issues when playing multiplayer. There were instances where a cutscene would play and then at the end the host would be placed in the new correct area but the other players would stay in the original position, so the other players would have to quit and rejoin so that we could proceed. In the arcade mode, there are a few Pins (upgrades you get during a run) that didn't function at all when on multiplayer and there were a few challenge rooms where multiplayer would soft lock the run if not executed correctly (For example: there are challenge rooms where you need to perfect guard the enemy to proceed. Each player gets their own unique enemy, but for some of them the players can interact with another players enemy. This ranged from projectiles from Player 1's enemy being able to be seen and hit by Player's 2, 3, and 4, to a soft lock on the run where Player 1 could kill the enemy meant for Player 2 on accident and the door to exit the room would be locked so we could not progress and would have to restart the run.) - While the Arcade mode is a very fun rouge-like experience, there are a few things about it that do make it seem like it was an afterthought that could have been polished (i.e. in the shops we saw a weaker weapons that cost the exact same as another stronger weapons of the same class. There is no permanent progression system for the pins so when play with the difficulty modifiers, a lot of runs feel very unfun just cause of rng.)
Very much its name sake. Its got a simple and strait forward story with a combat system to match and a tacked on phase shifting that doesn't suit the rest of the game. Shame the forgotten tower broke during new game+
Simplesmente o Classic RPG Perfeito.
super addicting, so many things to collect
I'm Sean Prime and I approve of this game!
