Accompanied by beautiful piano music, you begin to experience a wonderful love journey. There is no dialogue in the story, only pictures intertwined with montage techniques. Players need to unlock each puzzle to open every door of memory, to find the youth that we have been missing.

This game will definitely test your ability to both pay attention and use common rational to know where and how to click images that come up on your screen to solve and reveal the complete story. *Spoiler Alert* ... Watch my gameplay revealing the complete game and discussing the hidden messages with my moderators here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwlbITdiFeI It took me livestreaming it and two of my moderators who are pretty smart helping me to get through it. I think I had it about 98% complete an hour and a half into it, but when you lose all your "chances", you have to start completely over and do it all again. All in all, it took me just over four hours to completely solve it, but the story itself is only maybe ten minutes long. I'm sure that some people will be able to beat this in much shorter time periods, especially if they have seen it played before (as in my video above) I do believe this is a great game and value for it offers the player hidden inspirational and pretty deep messages about love, relationships, and 'letting go". The music is also beautiful, as is the black and white art found within the game. It's not perfect however, and the biggest problem I had is a complete lack of options, both sound and graphic resolutions, as well as a missing option anywhere to exit the game, forcing you to ALT-F4 to exit the game as even the ESC will not work. Still, it scored an impressive 86% on my scoring table, and the low price tag and high value helped it achieve that score on my table. Highly recommended. It's a beautiful little game with deep messages if you are patient enough to complete the full game.
Secret in Story is a true surprise for me. I did not expect that kind of game at all. Actually I was not expecting anything since I didn’t really understand what kind of game it was before starting it. And I certainly did not expect to nearly break my keyboard playing it... I would say it is more of a game of speed and memorization. Each playthrough takes around 10-15min at first then around 5min once you have figured out what you have to do. The story is short. Memories of a love story, nothing exciting or mind-blowing. The graphics are cute, manga-like. Black and white. Except the writings that are a little blurred. The music is nice. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1163637642 The goal is to take the story further by clicking in specific places. You have to guess them, or have memorized the clues that were given to you earlier. Furthermore, you have limited time to click on each image. If you click in the wrong place, you "die". Some scenes require skill and speed. Some objects are also placed randomly, which adds difficulty from one playthrough to the other. It is easy to finish at least one playthrough. I succeeded after 5 attempts. This proves more complicated if you are looking to get all achievements. One requests to complete the game in less than 5 minutes, the other to click less than 150 times, and another one, not to die. It was these sadistic little challenges that made me nearly break my keyboard. I think it is possible to complete this game 100% in less than 3 hours. In summary, I recommend this very nice surprise to all players who are looking for a short game that will give them a little bit of trouble. Considering the price, it is totally worth it.

Secret in Story is a rather unique game where you have to figure out "puzzles" in the images that come by to tell a story. To start, I will say that this game ending up being more of a memory game for me, since I made a serious attempt to get that 100% completion (which I failed to get because Steam ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my last three achievements, and then I raged). For most people playing this, if you want to beat it, it will become a memory game as well, as you learn from your mistakes in each playthrough an continue through the story. If you know exactly what is going on and how to do it, the game will take you under 5 minutes if you are fast (that is actually an acheivement). As for the actual story, it was a little bit hard to follow because I was so focused on the puzzles, Although, I do know its about two lovers and their melancholy and heartbreaking moments. I may be wrong, but from the images I saw and the music that was playing, that is the way it seeemed. Oh and since I've mentioned the music... The music is great! The piano is soothing, sad, and gives you a feelsy feel (lol). Overall, a unique picture based game with good music that is worth giving a shot playing. The will only cost you a buck, present you with an interesting style, and has trading card drops too. Rating: 7.1/10 Recommend Price: Full Price of below (for $0.99 it is simply cheap enough)
Its a very interesting game. it's kinda like a visual novel, but with gameplay elements. graphically its very nice and the music matches that very well. if i could take things seriously i would probably like it alot more. but for the price it seems like an ok story game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0dkJTHWh-8&feature=youtu.be
The smallest things from a song to an overheard conversation & even a simple thing as a coin drop echoing can set in motion heartfelt memories. Those instant flashes that harbour lingering events in which our romanticized minds conjure up pensive scenes of the past. It is in this prologue that Secret in Story begins giving us a glimpse of the female protagonist's recollections accompanied by tender piano music and striking monochrome frames. The menu is simplicity in itself showcasing the female protagonist (who eerily reminds me of an adult Rae from Beyond Eyes!) alongside a PLAY BUTTON in a circle for starting the game, an option for Tutorial on/off, Achievements tab and an Exit button. The game then takes you on the female protagonist's brief recollection as an introduction to the game (which does have a SKIP button!) then you are shown brief instructions of what to do before the game screens begin. The game is made up of 3 types of timed QTE (Quick-Time Events) ranging from clicking or arranging items in sequence, directing the protagonist to avoid dangers among other things and, in the case of birds/snowflakes/flashing lights/paper-birds/balloons, clicking these a certain number of times before the timer runs out. There are moments too where the protagonist will be drawing a scene from the flashback, this has to be memorised as it will feature later in the storyboard and there are also portraits of the protagonist to be collected for use as LIVES in the game alongside other items that activate hidden levels. As with every game I get, I am always attracted to the artwork first and I feel it adds a certain panache to this touching love journey. As you master each QTE flashback it opens up more of the story until the finale; I admired the beautifully illustrated scenes especially when in a monochrome setting. The music is all piano based creating a very soothing atmosphere while in some scenes it adds a dramatic crescendo to reflect the event being portrayed. For a game that can very quickly become frustrating I believe the use of a piano was a good choice there! Also having a PAUSE button is very wise too!! The game has card drops and Achievements with some of the achievements being very challenging to earn as can be seen in my playtime. I have spent hours trying to unlock some of the tougher ones which reward shorter clicks for the story completion but this is harder than it looks! The price is very reasonable too for the game content and I believe the replay factor to this will not only breed familiarity making the gameplay easier but also gives you the opportunity to take in more of the game's beauty & hidden levels. A bon entendeur.... the story that pretends to show the game is ruined by a stupid system of Point and click, the text is shown so fast that you can barely read half of the piece when the other scene begins and you have to look for the clickable objects. so you miss the whole story. even though you have to pay atention to the picture to unerstood the story, those happens so fast that you can't apreciate anything there. -the music is the only thing that atract me a little bit of the game.

https://youtu.be/df12dmvvmE4 An interactive narrative that relies on player's clicking and reaction time to control the branching paths in an attempt to direct the story to it's end. While the concept is not commonly seen, the actual mechanics are finicky and obtuse. Players know little about what their goals are from scene to scene and a handful of missteps will reset all progress back to the beginning.
