About
Hold on to your bubbles! Scrubbin’ Trubble is a cooperative turn-based roguelike clean em’ up where you and your buddies each play one of six unique character classes to deal with some of the nastiest grime you’ve ever seen… and this filth fights back. Sometimes to get clean, you gotta get dirty.
In The House, the cleaning and the fights never seem to end. Go it alone or team up with up to three other players to wipe out the Nasties infesting every inch. Think strategically and defeat foes to earn powerful upgrades for the whole team and their special abilities, working your way from one floor to the next. But don’t get too cocky; while running to the next stairs is always an option, if you end up fleeing too much or doing poorly, you may find yourself woefully unprepared to take on the increasingly dangerous detritus on subsequent levels, and if you hit a game over before you scrub out one of the Four Filths of the Apocalypse, you’ll need to start all over from the beginning.
Play solo or with up to four players in online co-op

A traditional-ish roguelike that somehow has such wonderful play feel that you sometimes think you're playing an action game. Everything is fast and beautiful (or intentionally ugly) and sounds great and bounces and bops like it's all been scrubbed by the devs to high heaven. The multiplayer mechanic is brilliant, the game is rewarding and full o' stuff, while being as hard as you'd hope. Loving it so far.
Incredibly cool. I have always had boundless respect and fascination for the "true roguelikes". I've spent countless hours in college faffing around in the first ten-summat floors of Nethack, peered deep into the bottomless depths of ADOM and Elona and Caves of Qud, to embarrassingly little avail. But even the more streamlined Mystery Dungeon series tended to be a bit long-toothed for my neurodivergences, and fruitless to recommend to my less seasoned friends. Enter Scrubbin' Trubble! This game filters the simultaneous-movement, bump-combat dungeon crawler into a zippy, cute arcade experience that feels, well, a lot like a modern tactics roguelite. Except this time, it's largely faithful to the genre's historical core mechanics; which is to say, I'm pretty sure this would pass the Berlin Interpretation! (if you know you know) It's still incredibly hard, full of unexpected mechanics interactions, and completely wipes your progress between runs, but the tight focus and great controller layout makes it a lot easier to get hooked. it foregoes open-worlds and daunting megadungeon structures in favor of a disaster-management format with a series of quick procgen skirmishes; we're just taking care of a single house with four rooms, hopelessly filling up with grime. How uh... relatable... for me... And maybe best of all, they somehow figured out how to make multiplayer work in a game like this. Hell, it doesn't just work, it shines! After a couple of embarrassing wipeouts, we were already coordinating strategies and setting up killer team attacks. And we just had to read all the puns out loud. The game's got an adorable, well-executed theme that was a ton of fun to share. Alright, nuff said! It's a banger, and it's cheap too! Get this thing, and clean your room, bucko!
THIS game is inSANE!!! Lots of FAST and dirty cleaning to be done! Pretty easy to beat the grunge at first, but then... WATCH OUT!!! House cleaning is a real chore, but Scrubbin' Trubble makes it crazy FUN!!!!
Scrubbin' Trubble is a very satisfying game that can take a little bit to get used to. All the classes have really distinct playstyles (the Detergilist is my GOAT). I haven't beat it yet, but I'm having a lot of fun messing around. If you enjoy traditional roguelikes or GETM-EOUT from UFO 50 (Made by the same dude!), give this game a shot!
Cleaning is important. This game is kind of like a mystery dungeon game but it has multiplayer co-op. I feel like a lot of people don't play this genre but it's fast paced and strategic. And it's pretty rare for them to have multiplayer. I'm playing with controller and support is great. I haven't tried multiplayer but the Solo mode is a very fun roguelike. If you ever wanted to beat a cockroach to death with a Q tip, this game is for you.
I generally enjoy traditional rogue-style games, and this is a very charming one! +++Pros+++ +The rising pressure of the thematic grime build-up works really well over the course of a run. The cleaning theme overall is well-realized. +The character classes all feel really different from each other despite having the same base movement and basic attack. The unique perk upgrades are always meaningful. +The music is just awesome. I found myself bobbing along to the tunes many times. +Simultaneous Multiplayer that syncs up during combat zones. This lets players express themselves freely while separated, but still come together towards a common goal when together. Best of both worlds, really. +It has that addicting "one more try" itch to re-try after a death. For not having any progression unlocks, it just feels fun to jump in and play regardless. ---Cons--- - Some of the art can get a little messy (pun intended) and it's easy to lose track of what's around you, especially when things are layered over one another and even moreso in multiplayer. - Some characters are clearly stronger than others. Washbuckler and Detergilist are on a completely different power level compared to the Bubbladin or Bleacher. - Runs can feel a little long if you don't have enough free time and there's no way to save and continue later. Overall, Scrubbin Trouble is a great example of a well-made rogue game, made in a short time-frame and by a small team that cared abut every facet of its design along the way. 8/10!
A game that blends the old and the new into something refreshing! Inspired by classic dungeon crawlers and roguelikes, such as the Mystery Dungeon series - but incorporating a lot of the most fun gameplay mechanics and design principles of recent hits, such as Lethal Company, Peak, and so on. Your goal is to clean up floors, destroying the vile Nasties - monsters made of trash, refuse, and the like - as well as *literally* cleaning up the floors, walking over dirtied tiles to reduce the Grime level of the floor. But, it's not so simple - you also have to manage your time carefully, as spending too long on a floor to clean it up to 100% will allow the Grime to continue spreading unchecked on the OTHER floors you haven't gotten to yet. And as it accumulates, various interesting modifiers and penalties will be applied to the rest of your run! This 'score attack' element is prevalent throughout the game - you're encouraged to avoid damage, act efficiently, use abilities, support your fellow players, etc. to earn Accolades and earn points that help counteract the ever-accruing Grime. All of these elements also help the game achieve its goals of being an excellent, streamlined introduction to the Mystery Dungeon genre - but, importantly, WITHOUT compromising and of the game's depths of skill expression or challenging gameplay. The game has plenty of other really exciting and interesting systems too! To rattle off a few: picking up duplicates of items 'concentrates' them, giving them more uses AND more powerful abilities; each floor, you choose which area of the House to clean up, having to balance the Grime levels all throughout the House, and sometimes tackle difficult or interesting floor modifiers if needing to prioritize cleaning a certain Room; and, of course, the exciting final boss fight each run! I can't recommend the game enough. I encourage everyone to discover all the content and variety the game has to offer for themselves!
A very fun bump combat roguelike game designed around online co op. Optimizing movement and item use to clean areas as efficiently as possible is very satisfying, and just about everything in the game is based on a silly cleaning pun. There's no meta progression, so you're not unlocking anything or getting stronger between runs, which I personally prefer. While there isn't a massive amount of content, trying to get a higher score to top the leaderboards keeps me itching for another run.
Loving the game so far. The game overall feels very polished. There's a good amount of variety with each character and the controls feel very thought out. You can tell a lot of work went into the art and design which gives the game its own unique feel. I'm looking forward to playing more.
I think my favorite part of the game is the confidence it has in its presentation, it starts with taking simple concepts like play on words for fantasy troupes, and then it pushes them to such an extreme that it left my mouth dropped. This game is also gorgeous to look at, everything has this beautiful aesthetical flow, would absoulutly reccomend.
