Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

William is a young writer in search of his first literary success. He travels to a distant abbey, shrouded in a vow of silence. Among thick stone walls and unspoken secrets, William slowly immerses himself into the life of the abbey and its silent inhabitants.
What begins as a search for inspiration soon turns mysterious, leading William to uncover not just a story to tell, but a secret that was never meant to be discovered.

Scholar Adventure: Mystery of Silence is a classic 90s-style point & click adventure featuring dark, detailed pixel art, environmental puzzles, and a deep narrative with touches of black humor.
Explore the abbey, solve mysteries using the items you find along the way, and uncover the secrets hidden within its silent walls.

Mystery of Silence is the first game in the Scholar Adventure saga, created and developed solo by Ayose Trujillo, with music and sound design by Antonio Vozmediano.
With an approximate playtime of 2 to 3 hours, the game is a tribute to classic adventure games, where the experience lies in exploring, discovering, and solving puzzles as you put your logic to the test.
The game was developed using PowerQuest, by Powerhoof.

Short and atmospheric adventure game. Music was sparse but definitely created an eerie atmosphere. Solved in 70 mins so its very short, worth it on sale.
Un juego corto, y de puzles sencillos, y con una buena historia. Recomendado
It's a good game with an interesting plot and some amusing characters with a bit of creepy (but not too much). I only wish it was a longer and more challenging. I beat the game with all achievements in just over 3 hours, which definitely felt too short. I would still recommend this game and hope that the developer makes a second one, but would like it to be longer and with harder puzzles.

Moody and well crafted, short game. The puzzles aren't very complex, but fit the narrative and keep you going. Sound is good, graphics, too. Only thing that was lacking was the story which isn't bad, just failed to create a sense of mystery. Wasn't scary, either. Still had a good time, perfect for a grey weather afternoon.
This game was so enjoyable for it to be so short! One puzzle part had my chat and I so confused!
Very good adventure, I love that it's just a few - very well used - rooms to explore. It makes the most of these rooms and tells a unique and interesting story. I only wish there would be more feeback on why certain things can't be used on others/persons. There was one instance where my idea of using what with what was right, but the location was wrong. More feedback and some better english localisation would make this game a 10/10.
Nice art, fun concept, decent puzzles, slightly let down by narrative. 3.5/5. As others mentioned, it's quite short (I played for 2.5 hours but most of that is because I left the game running and went to cook and do various other things.) Length isn't really a problem for me, but others might feel let down. The puzzles are fun enough. Some seem thrown in mostly to break up cutscenes without really adding anything or making sense but 1 or 2 were genuinely quite clever and pleasing to solve. The problem for me was the narrative. I was sold immediately on the concept of a silent monastery but at no point did I care about any of the characters or, really, what was happening. In fact, I found the main character actively unlikeable. He wasn't annoying-but-charming like a Guybrush Threepwood or a George Stobbart. He was just annoying. The writer clearly has some interesting ideas that haven't been fully executed. It felt like maybe they'd cut big parts in order to meet a deadline or because they were hard to create gameplay for. I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for a sequel where the designer can really stretch their muscles.
