Scale Mail

This is a quaint puzzle game, and apart from a potential technical issue, makes for a few enjoyable hours. The issue in question is one where the game launched for me with the top bar above the top of the screen where I could not click the button to maximize the game window. Resolved by going into my computer's settings and setting my taskbar to auto-hide, which forced the game window to adjust itself. This was annoying; I had to do it each time I launched the game. The game offers many charming characters for the protagonist to talk to, each with entertaining problems and personalities. The puzzle gaming itself was novel to me. Balancing the available space and available weight limit in the often oddly shaped containers made for a complex experience. Luckily, I didn't have to get three stars in every level to get all the achievements. I'd restart the game just to see every stage of Mr. Scale's gold hoard, because I think I missed a few of them because I was so invested in talking to the next customer and challenging the next puzzle.

After getting three stars on all the levels I can finally say I enjoyed this game! What you see here on the store page is what you get, a packing puzzle game with a very cute art style. For $4 at time of writing it's well worth the investment both money and time wise!

Nice little puzzle game. I'm not really a fan of this genre in general, but the puzzles here are lenient enough to allow for multiple solutions while still wringing out your brain if you want to get 3 stars in every stage. Our mail-dragon is adorable, too.

This is cute but not very fun. Thinking of the game like a kid's maze game, on later levels, a bunch of larger pieces have 1-3 legal placements and figuring out which one one of those legal placements is the right one is like taking a blind turn in a maze game. (Yes, you can math out some of the logistics in advance to reduce blind guessing in aggregate, but that makes it sound even less fun than it is). There's not a ton of progression over time and I think it's more of a maze than anything.

Big fan of the art style and creativity behind the design of each level design. The mechanics are straightforward but managing them all is challenging and fun! I spent way too long on the second level, lol.
