About
Welcome to SAND: Raiders of Sophie. Pilot your custom built war machines across the dunes of a fallen planet, battle rival players, scavenge for loot, weapons, ammo and resources, survive and extract with your spoils in a massive procedurally generated world.
Out here on Sophie, a raider is only as strong as their Trampler. Fully customizable, gigantic walking mechs that shield you from the elements, defend you and your loot from rival scavengers and rain destruction on anything that obstructs your pursuit of becoming the most notorious raider upon the dunes!
Design a modular trampler where your creativity and will to succeed is your only limit.
Build an impenetrable fortress that can weather the deadliest of assaults, a walking war machine stacked with mounted turrets and firepower, something small and stealthy to get you out of trouble as quickly as you get into it or a chaotic jumble of modules to confuse and disorient your enemies.
No matter your playstyle, you can design a trampler to support it.
Get your crew together, or go solo as you embark on expeditions. Deploy into the world, chart your course, and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen world for loot. Survive encounters with the mysterious supernatural Upiors, fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players, locate your extract point and escape to the safety of the orbital station with your loot, life and Trampler intact.
Smoke on the horizon, the groans of the undead echoing through the cities, and the distant rumble of sand all signal danger. Every city looted, shipwreck scoured or ill-timed encounter with other scavengers might just be your last, so keep your wits about you.
There are no friends on Sophie, the only ones you can trust are you and yours.
Design your Tramplers from scratch in the Trampler Editor before deploying into the world. Test your builds and scavenge lower-tier items at your own pace in Voyage Mode, or raise the stakes in Storm Dive for higher-tier loot and greater rewards, where as sandstorms slowly engulf the region, the risk of confrontations with other scavengers and the loss of your hard earned loot increases.

This game is a ton of fun and I have been grinding it. It is clearly in early access with a lot of bugs. I’m still playing the ♥♥♥♥ out of it with the bugs the tech tree is a lot of fun to work through this is like better sea of thieves
Game is great until this recent update. Never get near a trampler that is sinking in the sand. You will get kicked and be reviewed as suspicious activity. I extracted from a small team voyage run and must have lagged out climbing up the rope and never disconnecting. Trampler "made it out" while I was stuck not able to do anything. Lost my trampler and all of the loot I collected. Great game. This update has just made the game a bit unplayable now.
Great game, needs work on some things but overall a fun time
not a good game at all played for just two hours and they refuse to give me a refund they just try copying sea of thieves but on land and its terrible allowing teamers in solos like they need to fix there game or just shut it down because this is the worst game i have played in a very long time
Wasn't fun, the world felt boring and dull, it felt like there was no danger while roaming the dunes. Fights felt boring and like there was no weight behind them. The crawlers felt to slow and like they we're 30 pounds, playing with friends is a nightmare and I'm not even gonna mention the hacking problem
Imagine Sea of Thieves except instead of water it is land/desert and of course much better, your upgrades actually mean something and are not just cosmetics.
SAND: Raiders of Sophie is one of those rare early‑access games that immediately grabs you with its atmosphere and refuses to let go. Even though it’s tough, sometimes punishing, and definitely still rough around the edges, I genuinely enjoy it. The core gameplay loop is simple but addictive: you build and pilot a massive walking Trampler across a harsh desert world, scavenging ruins, fighting raiders, and managing your crew’s survival. The world feels alive in a strange, eerie way — storms roll in, POIs appear on the horizon, and every expedition feels like a small adventure. The Trampler itself is the star of the show: a lumbering, customizable machine that feels both powerful and fragile. Upgrading it, balancing weight, managing fuel, and choosing weapons gives the game a satisfying engineering vibe. That said, the game is difficult. Fuel management is unforgiving, combat can be brutal, and the desert doesn’t care about your feelings. You’re constantly juggling weight, energy rods, crew safety, and navigation. It’s the kind of difficulty that frustrates you for a moment but keeps you coming back because you want to master it. Since it’s early access, there are bugs — UI glitches, odd physics moments, and occasional crashes. Nothing game‑breaking, but enough to remind you that the game is still being built. Despite that, the foundation is strong, and the developers clearly have a unique vision. Overall, SAND: Raiders of Sophie is a challenging but rewarding desert‑crawler with a ton of potential. If you enjoy survival mechanics, machine management, and exploring strange worlds, it’s absolutely worth playing even in its current state. I like it a lot, and I’m excited to see how it grows.
Sick Game overall but having to fight 2v3 nonstop cuz the matchmaking sucks is dumb Like what do u wanna do if the enemys always have 1 Turret more shooting you 1 can always board you and kill while the other 2 are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ your walker up UNBALANCED Matchmaking
One of the buggiest games I have ever played, might be Early Access but its paid Early Access. I wont be back until they do major fixes. You can be on the game for hours faming so it high risk high reward and for that you need core elements to work, going up stairs or ladders on your trampler is one of them. I kept finding myself not being able to use ladders or walk up stairs, need to jump on the railing past the bug. Its not ideal during a high pressure fight. Found myself getting jammed on invisible objects and being able to move. Not being able to jump up small ledges and glitch on them. The main thing is disconnecting from the servers (done the checks, its not my internet) multiple times I have disconnected and reconnected to a destroyed trampler and end up losing everything. So yeah, not interested in this until there is a major quality of life update.
Good Game ♥♥♥♥ Server good job
