About
Welcome to SAND: Raiders of Sophie. Pilot your custom built war machines across the dunes of a fallen planet, battle rival players, scavenge for loot, weapons, ammo and resources, survive and extract with your spoils in a massive procedurally generated world.
Out here on Sophie, a raider is only as strong as their Trampler. Fully customizable, gigantic walking mechs that shield you from the elements, defend you and your loot from rival scavengers and rain destruction on anything that obstructs your pursuit of becoming the most notorious raider upon the dunes!
Design a modular trampler where your creativity and will to succeed is your only limit.
Build an impenetrable fortress that can weather the deadliest of assaults, a walking war machine stacked with mounted turrets and firepower, something small and stealthy to get you out of trouble as quickly as you get into it or a chaotic jumble of modules to confuse and disorient your enemies.
No matter your playstyle, you can design a trampler to support it.
Get your crew together, or go solo as you embark on expeditions. Deploy into the world, chart your course, and scavenge cities, ruins, shipwrecks and other remnants of a fallen world for loot. Survive encounters with the mysterious supernatural Upiors, fight or talk your way out of confrontations with other players, locate your extract point and escape to the safety of the orbital station with your loot, life and Trampler intact.
Smoke on the horizon, the groans of the undead echoing through the cities, and the distant rumble of sand all signal danger. Every city looted, shipwreck scoured or ill-timed encounter with other scavengers might just be your last, so keep your wits about you.
There are no friends on Sophie, the only ones you can trust are you and yours.
Design your Tramplers from scratch in the Trampler Editor before deploying into the world. Test your builds and scavenge lower-tier items at your own pace in Voyage Mode, or raise the stakes in Storm Dive for higher-tier loot and greater rewards, where as sandstorms slowly engulf the region, the risk of confrontations with other scavengers and the loss of your hard earned loot increases.

Awful game, cheaters in 80% of lobbies, if not cheaters, then people teaming in solo's. tons of bugs, balance is terrible. one of the worst games ive played in a long time.
Good Game
Jogo TOP... Vale a pena!!!
GG, game is fun when winning. When losing, its my teams fault. or I got teamed. or lag.
No hackers so far... wait... no they're not in the room right now. I'll keep playing and report back if i see any. Checked the new update and it seems to be combating the previously reported cheating problem. Game seems fun. Nice fun loop. Plus Wild Wild West giant robot walkers, cowboys... that'll do.
I think the core gameplay can be very fun with friends. Solo gameplay isn't the worst, it just seems like it's meant to farm resources and not much else. Ship design is fun and interesting, and the game really seems to excel when your crew is engaged in a good landship duel. The bad, however.....well, it's quite bad. Hacking is a pretty atrocious issue. On top of that, bugs are a-plenty (my personal favorite being no raid-start animation, so you watch your character fall to their death from the sky). That's a great way to start a raid: running to grab gear you were set to spawn in with. While the naval guns feel fairly smooth and fun to battle with, the hand weaponry is quite janky. It feels slow and rather unresponsive. You can still get kills with firearms, but it's nowhere near as polished as the naval guns. I think my biggest critique is the matchmaking. You may be using an early-tier, dumpy walker because you've played less than 20 hours. Better armor? Better weapons? Better mobility? All of that is unlocked behind quite a bit of resources grinding, as you chip away at a tier-based research tree. The natural consequence of a tier-based research system, and a grind to unlock those tiers, would seem to be...tier-based matchmaking. Why put early-tier dumpy walkers in the same raids as late-tier, fully armored walkers that vastly outgun the early walkers? The easy fix would be a free-for-all mode (for all tiers) vs. a tier-matched mode. As the game currently stands, I ultimately do recommend this game to either (a) those with a dedicated group of friends who will invest hours together, to get a decent walker, or (b) someone who wants to grind away in rat-mode solo play. When the game gets significant updates, cheater protections, and alternative matchmaking - if the multiplayer base survives that long - I think it'll be an absolute gem.
.. .
The best combination of base building, team play, and extraction shooter!
repetitive and incredibly rage inducing. love it so much but theres zero skill or level based matchmaking :(
Truly, a shockingly addictive and fun game. Your first dive can be rough. The onboarding experience leaves much to be desired. The game throws a power point presentation at you about bare basics, and ultimately, forces you to learn - often times, without outside research - the hard way. My first dive was brutal. I was ganked, confused, and obliterated within 4 minutes. But I dove again. I got irritated. Stuck on stairs. Rough terrain. But... I wanted to dive again. So I did. An update came out. Fixed my hit registration issues. Another update. Fixed my stair clipping issues. I kept diving. I keep diving. The truth is, despite some lingering flaws the gameplay loop is incredible. The looting feels great, the pvp is desirable, the sound of cannon is heart pumping. Really enjoying this game, and really looking forward to further updates and community driven feedback. See you on the SAND, boys.
